****ing hate being a spurs fan. Hate them today, absolutely hate them all. First time I’ve lost any positivity.
These performances and results are as humiliating as anything we saw under Jose, Nuno or Conte. He has until end of the year to turn this around. If he doesn't, can we trust him to spend more money in January?
think you shouldn't overreact really. These were the sorts of performances Arteta was giving out until his 4th season. Give ange at least 3 full seasons to see where he is at
Was really hoping we'd be 4th after this match but the reality and hard truth is we don't deserve to be 4th.
Totally and utterly inexcusable. Time and time again we’re putting in pathetic performances, and never learn from our mistakes. seeing the odd half of decent football where we score 3 or 4 is great, but it’s not often enough, and there are far more worse performances and results than good. It’s predictable, and boring.
I booed, I booed ****ing loud. Result deserved it, losing at home to effectively a league 1 team is unacceptable. How can we **** up every chance given to us to make progress no matter who’s in charge. Were all cursed.
We are exactly where some predicted we would be after the summer window. Have to give DH credit for his prescience. This is a team sans Kane that didn't make any significant improvements in the summer. The fact it is mid table is hardly surprising. Who in our starting line up today would get into any of the teams who finished in last year's top 4?
Our form in the league: DWLLWWLWLWL This summarises the problem. So unbelievably inconsistent and what's worrying is that whereas the defeat against Newcastle was pretty harsh and undeserved, what we've seen since is closer to not losing by a heavier margin and deserving absolutely nothing.
Like I said...those losing faith in Ange and the team seem to growing in number and I suspect that continuing inconsistency will soon see a tipping point. The fans are desperate to see a trophy and this is our 4th longest run without one in our history... The longest was 30yrs 1921 to 1951 which covered WW2. The next was 20 years 1901 to 1921 which covered WW1. The third was 19 years from our inception in 1882 - 1901 when we were a non league club throughout that time. There was only the FA Cup and Title to go for in that time instead of the four competitions we've been involved in all but two of the last 17 seasons. I disagree about levy not listening to the fans in regards to sacking managers. I have no doubt that if the fans turn on the team we'll be searching for our 5th permanent manager in 5 years.
I doubt that he'll get that long. The ENIC way is to get rid of the manager before the mob start to hunt the board instead. It appeases them for a season or so, when they repeat the process...repeat the process...repeat the process... Like our performance today, it's ****ing pointless...unless you count keeping COYS Daniel nice and safe. We really have lost our way. Ange should be given more time....even if is to fail. If he goes in under 2 seasons, who expects the next chump to fare any better?
I thought the performance overall was okay. Normally we'd win that but they got a bit of luck for their second and Solanke missed 2 great chances, Johnson missed 1 and they were a number of other decent chances we could have scored from. We should expect more and these "meh" performances whether for half the game, or the whole game are long overdue being addressed so it's back to the manager again. He needs figure out how to get the system working from the start of the game or stop making us play the exact same way every match. Litterally every other manager adapts some aspects of the game to the way the opposition play. We've not done that once this season, we wear the opposition down and hope the pressure in the second half is enough to recover the result. One thing that's incresingly bugging me is that I don't know what the fullbacks are supposed to be doing. We talk about Udogie being poor but both he and Porro play the same way each game and it doesn't seem to bother Ange. When we have possession in our own half they push on and leave the defence no targets for short passes out wide unless the wingers drop back, as both Son and Johnson frequently end up doing. Then in the final third, Udogie moves inside and just waits with the rest of the forwards, standing flat footed against the defenders. What's the point in either of those things? I don't get it at all but Ange must be happy with it for some reason.
Had to listen to the radio and have just seen their 2nd goal, Dragusin didn't have much chance or luck with that but Porro, Bentancur and Romero should take a good look at that in hindsight
Could have been 3rd But I've said it a few times, we are a young team and will be inconsistent...its just down to whether the fans stick with it
That was It's been bugging me all season! Porros lack of positional awareness is appalling and not helped by our World Cup winning centre half. I could have sworn they spoke the same language....
Are you still confident that given time this squad and manager will improve the results and become a top side?
