Just got in from the old town and what a great session and day it’s been, forget about their 11 and ours, Just get there tomorrow and support our players against theirs, all this analysing and wondering what team you or he Will put out doesn’t mean a thing at ko so Support City and the players right from the kick off like I will and anyone who comes on here who says the atmosphere was crap then look at yourself and think could I have mouthed off more because if not why comment. Good night to you all UTT
All season we've not exactly been shipping goals, but almost always conceding enough in each game to drop points. A few clean sheets would've made a big difference but we never get them. We can pat ourselves on the back about not conceding a massive amount overall but we've not been successful enough defensively in individual games to get results. Obviously the attacking has been ****e too (what a great combination) but I'm just focusing on the defensive side here as that's what you alluded to.
Part of me just thinks sod it, just lose today, we won't go into the bottom 3 anyway unless we lose by 7, then Acun does what needs to be done, brings in Robins and we can start afresh in two weeks time.
We need to scrap for points. Who ever is to be the manager hasn't got enough for a top half finish. But Walter will take us down if he stays.
With the players we have lost in the last couple of weeks, any manager worth his salt is now playing a system to suit the players he’s got, and not trying to shoehorn whatever he has into what he wishes they were. In my opinion. Rosey would have just put Tufan on the wing and cracked on. Let’s see what Walter comes up with.
It's father's day here, so I'll be watching on an internet stream whilst my daughters make me lunch, getting frustrated and kidding myself that I know the solution to City's on pitch problems.
Fans are obsessed with changing formations but really we've lost one player since our last game. We'll probably just replace him with Jarvis.
Who said anything about the formation? The game plan of get the ball to Belloumi to try and do something magical with, just isn’t going to work with getting the ball to Jarvis instead
Walter talking to the BBC about the fans: "They are welcome to see what we are doing all the time because it is different," he added. "It's different to play possession instead of always trying to play transition. Transition is maybe more for the stands and entertainment but the other is to heighten your probability to win games." Getting a bit tired of him thinking he invented possession football and that we're such a football backwater that we couldn't possibly understand. Watching PL games lately I see loads of long balls from keepers and defenders, even from Man City, and it seems the only top flight team that plays a style similar to us is Southampton. How's that working out? Hopefully the trend for back fours and keepers to endlessly fanny around until they concede is something that'll soon be consigned to the bin of history and one day we'll look back at it fondly in the same way we remember tight shorts, rattles and Chris Waddle's mullet.
