Love the optimism I guess it just takes me longer to get over disappointments like I feel right now.

I'd snap your hand off for a point at Millwall right now considering their form and we have no Hume Bellingham Roberts and Probably Mundle/Browne.

I think 4 points would be a great return Draw Win and Lose in no particular order

I completely get it. Game by game I understand frustration.

but I always look at the bigger picture

we are top 2 minimum with the most points goals and clean sheets in the league. A 3 game weird blip doesn’t determine the whole season. We are there because we’re good enough

Completely agree we are currently top on merit and I was ok with the 2 away draws but the 2nd half today has really kicked me in the teeth I thought we were absolutely flying at half time and I guess its just disbelief that they got back into it or in my opinion we got them back into it by simply not coming out after half time.

It's rare football affects my mood like this these days (it used to when I was younger but ive mellowed into my 30s)

We've seen some great goals this season but today's were exceptional. For a striker's finish, Isidor's is the best so far imo. Sensational.

We’ve got a striker scoring goals and a usually strong defence.

I reckon that’s normally what, over a 46 game season, gets you at the right end no?

First time I’ve been a bit displeased with RLB. The change was negative, the back 5 always was going to invite pressure. The Isidor left wing experiment needs to end as it always kills our attack.

Isidor upfront is one of the reasons our attack does well. His movement off the ball creates spaces and gaps, CB’s are always wary of his constant attempts of a run in behind, he’s an option to bash it long as he can bring it down and hold it up which he shows time and time again.

putting him on the wing nullifies our attack so much as no striker we have offers this bar him. He also is so wasted there.

That second half was horrible and the changes made it so much worse.

    Quite gutted tbh

I've just remembered an observation from the first half. Isidor's pressing and harrying from the front was reminiscent of Stewart's best levels. Forced mistakes and got us on the front foot a few times.

Probably my final comment on today's game.

We win that with Jobe playing. Our best player by a country mile. Nobody does what he can do in the league let alone in our squad. Browne and Rigg just don't have the same ball carrying ability and neither come close to Jobe defensively. The way he can single handedly shut down the opposition midfield is unmatched.

Can't wait for him to be back.

Having got in after the match and had a think about it, all I can think of is we didn't turn up for the second half. The first and second half were the polar opposites. No one could pass the ball 5 yards in the second, we sat far too far back in the second half inviting them in and they took the invitation. Thought that Connelly was the wrong sub to bring on, personally I would've brought on Watson for Mundle and Akeksic for Browne - What's the point of them being on the bench if you don't use them?

2 points thrown away today. If they came out and played the same way in the second half as we did the first we would've won that. Second half there was no fight whatsoever

Excellent first half and we took our foot off the peddle in the second and paid for it, we've done it a number of times this season and managed ourselves to a result. Not a terrible result but disappointing to let them score twice.

Totally agree with this mind I even said it on the way out. It was players making poor decisions/poor errors in those 3 or 4 moments not the tactics that cost us a third goal.

On the flip side it was the tactics that led to us being so passive and them ultimately scoring 2 goals

I still don't know which one of those I'm going with I guess ultimately they are both right.

Really disappointing that. Chucked it away after a brilliant first half. Hey ho, still top of the league

If your team is being overrun in midfield in the second half, one of your midfield players gets injured, what do you do? Well stick on another defender and invite them to continue??

You move your best striker to the left wing, do you bring on the hungry young lad who had a great start to the season, or someone who seems reluctant to shoot and cant hold the ball up??

All down to the coaches this one

Into your 30s…..wait til you get to your 70s like me, seen it all before but this for me is a blip and these lads have a mentality I haven’t seen in decades.
Wouldn’t surprise me in the least if we got a result at Millwall, it’s just football.
Used to effect my appetite days like this but not anymore.
