Better to have a go and lose 2-0 than not have a go and lose 1-0. So we don’t have a go and still lose 2-0.
Tell you what lads, they weren't that good..... if we'd been a bit braver we'd have got something from that....
Bottom so we are the worst team in the league and that is a fact at present. After the international break we should have players back and it will surely be dependant on the scores in the last three games in November on whether Marti stays or goes.
This exactly. We are so conservative and negative in our play we are never going to get anything from games against better sides, and even against the worse sides we'll just hold on for a draw. With this set up and such a lack of fire power up front, we may as well write this season off. No chance of doing anything.
He’s so static and not expecting the ball when it comes. On his heels when he’s had good service in the past. If you compete and do the ugly stuff well the team gets up the pitch and you get more chances. Their centre-halves won’t need to chuck their kit in the wash.
I definitely don't see a lack of effort we just aren't good enough collectively and our forward options are either spirited but not really productive (Saito), utterly bereft of confidence (Smyth, Celar) or dead (Chair, Frey). I really hope we get some legs back after the break. Got to be time to just say **** it and give Lloyd a start hasn't it?
Its been getting progressively worse for a number of seasons. The likes of Rotherham, Huddersfield and any club Rooney has managed have narrowly kept us up. Can't see 3 worse this season and worse of all we don't seem to be even challenging. I've seen us relegated a fair few times, this is the first team that look like they'll drop without even a fight. QPR teams playing far better football than this have received far greater abuse from the fans. I think we're just too bored to bother.
All I really wanted this season was to not be relegated and to finish about Cardiff and Bristol City, didn't think it was much to ask tbh.
I used to have the raging hump after a defeat, but nowadays it don't seem to hurt as much,as it's always inevitable every game..like a punch drunk boxer..times up Marti, bye bye
As soon as they scored it was over, although we should have put away at least one chance. The fact of the matter is that their keeper didn't have to make one save: not one ****ing shot on target. Today wasn't as bad as I expected, so there's something positive for you all!
You can’t go to Leeds with a team like ours and miss Field’s chance. Weaker foot blah blah. By recent standards it was actually quite good including the Burnley game IMO. Not good enough of course and some glaring holes in the team but the midfield wasn’t completely overrun and we had the occasional attack. Smyth my 6/10 MOTM for running with the football as a professional footballer.
P. S. Something is seriously wrong when with a few minutes (+6) to go Koli stays on the bench and we bring on Santos for Smyth.
Never expected anything from this game, not that I do from any game at the moment but I do expect at least one shot on target otherwise how are you supposed to win a game?!? Yes we were missing some players, not they've done much to warrant consideration that the result would be any different. We are, to date, the worst team in the league. To give ourselves a chance, Marti has to give up on this formation that doesn't achieve anything close to winning a footy match. At the moment hes refusing to do so.
I'd say Bob that's he's got 1 hand tied behind his back as to who's available and who's injured..... it looks at times like damage limitation and hope 4 or 5 of the injured players are back after the international break..... it would help our understanding if the club were more forthcoming with timelines for when they are expected to be available again....
