Longman is expected to feature again for the Under-21s in their Premier League Cup game against Nottingham Forest at Loughborough University on Friday night with a view to him being involved in Walter's squad when their Championship campaign resumes after the international break at Luton Town on November 23. He played 70 minutes in the U21's game, Sinik played 55.
Sellars-Fleming being talked up a lot by TW in HDM. He's got a contract to June '27, how ironic if it turns out our top striker was under our nose all the time!
Hull City have been left sweating on the fitness of Mohamed Belloumi as they await the results of an MRI scan to determine the extent of his knee injury, but he has been ruled out of Sunday's home meeting with West Brom.
This injury might also spell the end of Walter as without Belloumi I’m not sure what attacking threat we have. 0-0 is the best we can get out if this.
If he continues to play his awful style in that system without a two half decent wingers it may be, bye bye after Sunday. Basing out whole system on two wingers who rarely get the ball, making our midfield redundant. A decent manager would switch to 532. There’s absolutely no chance under the current regime.
Fml can this get any worse. Just wtf are our physios doing then allowing both Baloumi and Millar to continue after the initial problem
Clinging to the hope that White has got the wrong end of the stick, but it seems unlikely. These injuries are piling up again. Rosenior never got credit for it but he really improved our injury record after saying he'd do exactly that. Now we seem to be back to having 6 or 7 players out with soft tissue injuries at any one time again.
On Tuesday night Belloumi seemed to indicate that he wanted to come off when he first went down. But then played on for a while. Not sure that was his decision
Oh ffs didtn we haven any injuries last season? Oh yes we did It’s two acls no amount of fitness or conditioning stops you getting one it’s just bad luck
Knew that would piss someone off. Of course we had some injuries last season. Far less than this season or the one before though. Just as Rosenior said we would. You can say it's just bad luck if you want but that's not what the science would say. Player load is a big consideration for exactly this reason. I'd hope City aren't taking any risks, but with all this double session stuff you'd be stupid not to wonder.
Are you seriously having a go at the physios, they make a judgement on the pitch with very heavy input from the player, they have absolutely zero chance of knowing a player has done their ACL in either of the situations we've had. Or do you just think they said " **** it mate, your ACL is ****ed but carry on for a few mins pal". It's absolutely terrible luck to have one player do it, but 2 in such a short space is just absolutely typical if the season we seem to be having top to bottom.
It was his decision, he thought he was ok then realised he wasn't so came off. It's just absolutely terrible luck
I think you're looking back with Rosie tinted glasses, someone as recent as this week was claiming we'd have made the playoffs last season if he hasn't lost delap/Jaden/Connolly for so long last season for example. Injuries happen and unfortunately we've had 2 pretty serious ones in quick succession This is from the final update in the injury thread from. Last season and it shows 5 players out with OLM commenting it's probably the most players we've had available tells you all you need to know..... Probably the most player’s we’ve had available all season (there hasn’t actually been any update on Furlong as far as I’m aware)… James Furlong - Knee - Out until April Anass Zaroury - Doubt for Watford. Lewie Coyle - Back for Watford game. Ryan Giles - Back for Watford game. Sean McLoughlin - Back for Watford game
