Good Morning. It's Thursday 7th November, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Leeds pay price for poor finishing Leeds missed a hatful of chances to return to the automatic promotion places, losing their unbeaten away record, at the hands of Millwall, at the Den last night. What the hosts lacked in skill and ability, they more than made up for in theatrics. Their hostile and aggressive appearance would change on a six-pence to that of an assault victim if it meant a free kick was up for grabs. The only goal of the game came five minutes from the interval, curtesy of such. The dead ball was pumped deep from the edge of the halfway semi-circle, finding the head of 6ft 7' thug Jake Cooper (etched between Messrs Bogle and Rodon). His downward header fell kindly for Tanganga to sweep the ball past Meslier from the edge of the area. Leeds need to take note of this set piece. There have been dozens of occasions where the Whites have been in better more forward positions to deliver free kicks, only to pass the ball sideways or backwards, just to keep possession. If teams were rewarded for half chances, Leeds would be well on the way to automatic promotion by now. As it is, they drop to third in favour of the Blades, four points behind leaders Sunderland. Next up is a home tie against QPR, a team that smashed four goals past the Whites back in April, albeit that was at Loftus Road! please log in to view this image Is Farke learning by his mistakes Leeds fans turned to social media in the droves after Neil Harris' Millwall ended Leeds unbeaten away record last night. Whilst asking for his dismissal maybe a little harsh, question marks continue to be raised regarding his sides inability to break down defences, his use of substitutions and set piece woes. The Whites are actually a point better off (and fours goals to the good) compared to this very time last season, but you can't blame fans for being anxious after what happened last season. The club splashed out big to land Farke, and I can't help thinking that his past reputation is a major consideration why he has been left to his own devises by the 49ers thus far. Leeds benefit from a more forgiving Championship than the 2023-24 version to absorb results like last night, but with the talent on show, shouldn't Leeds be doing better? please log in to view this image
Morning all, I'm not calling for Farke to be sacked but I think it's quite telling that if we had woken up to the news he had been sacked I don't think anyone would have been bothered.
I do still believe Farke will get us up but I do not want him taking us into the Premier league next season. He has his level and the championship is it.
Basically it's getting boring... I'm actually quite glad I don't attend matches anymore, I think I'd not be reappearing from the concourse after half time it's that drab...side,back,side,back,...is the football magazine called SHOOT still going
Farke don't like change unless it's forced but Saturday for me, Byram for Bogle, Solomon for Gnonto and Joseph for Piroe. Personally I'd start Joseph and Piroe as QPR will come and defend but Farke won't so pointless bothering with that, he has his system and won't change.
Personally too, yes I'd sack Farke, he shouldn't have started the season imo, had a real big chance last season and his ineptness cost us promotion, even fogetting blowing the league, he still had a chance in the play off final and for the third time last season, got out coached by a very very average manager. Everyone says yes but he got us 90 points , with that squad that's not a the greatest of achievements in this dire league
James, Gnonto as been very average for a few games now, a spell on the bench may give him the kick up the arse he needs
Afternoon all No secret I thought we should have replaced Farke before the season started, I felt we had no choice but to stick with him once we’d given him the transfer window I’m confident of promotion because we have a good team of players and the division is poor, if Farke is sacked I wouldn’t care, my concern would be for that situation to happen how bad must it get
The ball possession is there the creativity is to a point we just have a mental block on the last ball. We tried so many times to thread a ball through sometimes you just need to say fuk this im whalloping this see where it goes. We want to score that perfect goal all the time. Yes its hard to break down a parked bus but we need to mix it up a bit its down the channel move it aroind the box to the other channel. the final ball is either overhit or we lose possession of it. tippy fukin tappy coz theres nobody in the box the cutbacks tonthe edge of the box last night were in space but nobody moved or took a chance to get onto one we are static and want the ball to our feet. Am fooked off today 75% possession last night ad we created absolute fook all deffo something wrong there like
Mark Robins is available. They sell his best players and wonder why there's a downturn https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c8el50wprr5o
I’ve no idea if we can get better that Farke, probably not but for those calling for his head, do you realistically think a club would sack a manger third in league and four points off top. That’s kinda laughable when you think about it
Leeds paying the price for not buying a top striker once again. Ipswich showed us how to do it by brining moore in when needed to see them home. These chancers need to invest in some quality.
That’s the price of having a sicknote on your books soaking up two strikers wages for next two seasons
