Not really at the races here. I really want us to control games more, we did it against Oxford and we made it look easy so I want us to get back to that.

Connolly not really offering anything in terms of hold up play. Would be looking at Mayenda coming on soon.

All their threat is coming from crosses from our right side, Watson needs to get closer to the player crossing.

Need to improve to get anything here.

Disappointing half. Never got going. Maybe look at Connolly for Roberts which allows Watson to play off the left. Not clicking at the moment.

Hoping a thorough Régis tweak sorts us out 2nd half. We really need it

    To
To be fair they've kicked the **** out of us and he's given 1 yellow after Rigg was kicked in the face for the second time and the player put his hands up to admit it.

I'd be tempted to bring on Roberts for Connolly, Isidor up top and Watson on the left in his natural position. I've been impressed with Watson I think he's done well. Certainly far better than Wilson on the other wing.

Cirkin doesn't have the connection with Isidor as he has with mundle, seen a couple of times when hes looking up the wing for a ball out and Isidor isn't making space for the pass

I’ll add Mepham needs to be careful. I think he’s made three silly fouls since being booked

I feel relaxed enough. Not been good but we know Regis will change it to good effect. It is what he does.

I agree with those saying the wide lads when out of possession are a problem. They are out of the game and it creates easy space for Preston. Mepham been a lucky boy, after his first fould has 2 or 3 times just ran through the back of players and conceded a foul. I bet if he wasnt on a yellow he would have got one for cumulative fouls. Needs to let them have it, but not let them turn.

It looks a bit like we are playing more of a flat 3 in the middle, not with a pivot. When Browne gets deeped he looks a bit exposed. I would push him higher and let Dan be the pivot as it would give us more control I think.

disappointing half. Browne not in the game, Wilson struggling today. Think Hume has been caught out of position a few times. Really missing Jobe's presence. Think there is a footballer in Watson but needs to help out defensively.

Neil is very isolated in midfield.

    Some nice touches from Rigg

Watson been decent in possession but he needs to improve out of possession. He's too slow to react defensively and doesn't play with any aggression when defending

Frustrating as we just haven't got a grip of the game.

Need to get the ball down and pass through them

Second time this season we've struggled to deal with wing backs mind. Was the exact same against Watford. The opposition wing backs are always free which means either our winger is having to drop which makes it easy for the wide centre backs in possession or our central midfielders have to follow out wide which creates a load of space through the middle.

They aren't playing wingers so I would like to see us be brave and go man for man, push our full backs onto their wing backs with our wingers locking onto their wide centre backs. Stop making it so easy for them to play through us.

As things stand we are still 9 points clear of 7th despite consecutive draws (as it stands).

FWIW two 0-0 draws in consecutive away games missing our key player in Jobe wouldn’t be a bad return. And definitely wouldn’t be a bad outcome tonight after that start.

One thing I will say mind, is never drop Mundle.

He gets through so much dogs graft even on a **** game in terms of production his man gets ran into ground.

Not sure if there was a reason for him being benched, but I just wouldn’t be benching him.

Watson needs to stop backing off their full back and get a foot in. Same with Isidor …

… they’re showing how much work Mundle and Roberts get through.

This isn’t the time to take chances, we need to keep the ball and make our passes count. If we keep letting them launch the ball behind us, or from the wings, they’ll score.

We’re making Preston look much better than they are …

    … Ha’way Lads, you’re better than this.

Yeah not been a perfect performance by any means but there's bound to be room for improvement. I've been looking more at his attacking play and he's made good use of the ball and had some quality touches.

On the plus side, I am going to shout out for the lady co-commentator. She has made plenty of insightful tactical observations. Much better than listening to the likes of Hendry or Goodman say nothing of substance imo.
