    Yes it does.
Rather a lot actually as a trading nation.

He has said he will put a huge tariff 60% on Chinese goods.
    10% on everybody else.

Unfortunately he has always done what he said he was going to do, so no reason to think he won't this time.

The National Institute of Economic Research (been advising banks and government for 85 years apparently) says this will result in higher inflation weaker growth and higher interest rates in the UK.

    So that's good news then.

Expanding child tax credit providing a $6000 tax break for new parents and increasing the cap to $3600.

Expand medicare to cover those simultaneously being carers for their parents and their children.

Quadruple the corporate tax on stock buybacks.

A federal ban on price gauging.

Expand SSBCI to increase funding for rural businesses.

    Raising minimum wage

Offer tax credits to companies that employ union workers

I mean there's more, but those were the ones she talked about all the time. Maybe you just didn't listen.

Labour got in because they lied before the election and they've continued to lie afterwards - Two Tier Tool won't last the full term

I mean, I'm not saying they are award winning policies either.

She'd have done a lot better had she taken a firmer stance on Israel and Ukraine and actually demonstrated how her policies were going to impact people.

She was up against "I'll fix everything, don't worry", concise and methodical explanations don't really work there. If the opposition is offering £50 in a card, you're not gonna get very far with socks.

He's claimed he's going to apply a minimum 60% tariff on all US imports from China and 10-20% on all imports from everywhere else (which would presumably include us).

We export around £160b worth of goods to the US, considerably more than we import, so it would obviously have an impact. For the likes of Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, Land Rover and Jaguar, it would be an absolute disaster.

Because contrary to popular belief, the VP doesn't actually have much influence on what the president does unless they're invited to. She did manage to get the insulin cap thing done, but she's at the mercy of whatever Biden wants to do and if that doesn't align, it isn't happening.

Like, the right kept claiming she was the "border tsar", a position that doesn't actually exist and she never actually had any remit over, yet she was blamed for the so called "border crisis".

Not sure what your definition of "start" is. But to me, they're off. Up and running. But it does fill in a wednesday morning.

Labour got in because droves of disillusioned Tories switched to Reform. Labour's vote share was marginally up, but the actual vote numbers were over 500k less than voted for Corbyn, yet they won more than double the number of seats.

There must be a reason for so many Americans to reject the Democrats - Harris was crushed.

Having no knowledge of what it’s s like to live in the US I can only assume the Democrats were royally ****ing up and any change was seen as a positive.
