The issue isn’t playing one up front. Hardly anyone plays two now. The midfield woefully lacks legs to both close down their midfield and get anywhere near Celar. Varane is decent but he’s got nobody with him. Morgan might prove to be a good player and clearly has potential but he’s not physically up to two games in a week but there’s little else to pick. It’s the recruitment and relying on injury-prone players to get lucky again.
Boro sussed that we offer no threat if they keep the pressure up, so they might as well have some fun.
