Things can change fast in football If walter gets us on a winning run from tonight Thinks look totally different in all aspects 3 wins in 13 league matches is just depressing in everyway
If Acun’s plan is to get out, he’d be better off getting a proven championship manager who can get us up the league. Regardless of playing style, a club in10th playing standard football must be easier to sell than a club in 18th playing “heart attack” football or whatever it is
He's made getting promoted harder than it needed to be. The main obstacle is money but we've been able to spend a fair amount of that. Appointing Shota, sacking Rosenior, and pissing money on totally unsuitable players like Sinik because he knows of them from Turkey have all made it artificially harder than it needed to be.
Final league position, short of promotion and relegation places, should mean **** all to a potential new owner. They should be much more interested in the infrastructure behind the scenes and the foundations for the future; FFP, potential valuable assets etc. Given the noise made around FFP over the last year or so, I'd be concerned more about the room any new owner would have to manoeuvre over the coming windows.
We don't know what went on there but it sounds like he may have been left with little choice on that one.
Seems like every time we have a rough patch on or off the pitch, the rumours about Acun being on his way start. He always goes on to reaffirm his commitment to the club and everyone accepts it until the cycle restarts again.
If Acun goes at the end of the season, what’s his legacy? A ton of money wasted, a few dud managers, and the sacking of the only successful one?
It’s flogging a dead horse at this point, but our fourth highest Championship finish and points total. Only Bruce and Brown have bettered last season in the Championship.
So we stayed in the same division and missed out on the playoffs, hardly successful. With a far more talented team than other times we’ve stayed in the division.
It isn’t, I like the championship but being bored out my head and not looking forward to games is what disappoints me. Anyway, was just genuinely interested in why you classed him as successful.
I know which one of them will have a profitable career and which one will forever be buying cheap pink jumpers from Next. Tim won't be losing sleep over it.
