Morning all. Jeudidee @ 4/1 in the Hereford opener for Sir Barney’s favourite trainer. Right trip, right ground and the form of his last race looks sound with the 1st and 2nd both running very good races on Saturday. Poncho @ 17/2 in the lucky last at Plumpton. Previous winner at this course and the trainer is no stranger to the winners enclosure here.
I thought the Ivy Grower’s Chianti Classico was very impressive at Ascot on Saturday. Going from the front and carrying top weight. Not sure where he will go next but can’t see him staying in handicaps once he’s been reassessed. Has an entry in the Hennessy at the end of the month but can’t see him going there. Will likely be near the top of the weights and whilst he’s clearly very good he’s not Denman.
    Good luck everyone.

He actually hasn't been clobbered by the handicapper this morn - up 5lbs for Saturday's win. That now puts Chianti Classico on 157. 33's still available re the 2025 Grand National.

Like you I've no idea where the horse will go next but after the race the Ivy Grower did mention the Becher Chase as a potentially possible plan.

Although doubtless he’ll moan as all trainers do I reckon the Ivy Grower has got a result there with only a 5lb raise. That raced looked pretty competitive and CC won it well. So he’s probably looking at another decent handicap.
