We've got 4 "certainties" in which we all predicted the same result: Stoke (H), Hull (H), Middlesbrough (H) and Sunderland (A). It would have been 5 if Lyndhurst hadn't predicted Millwall to beat Burnley. I have checked and that's what he's put down. I know Derby are well above Stoke in the table but they've only had one win and one draw in their last six games. I've put it down as a home win like the rest of you but I wouldn't be shocked if we were all wrong. There are two games where we have no agreement: Cardiff v Norwich and Sheffield Wednesday v Watford. I don't count Leeds V Argyle for obvious reasons. Our total goals are quite well packed, from from 26 to 35 but with 5 us in the 30 to 35 range. I haven't been keeping track of that stat but it will appear on the results table from here on in. Joe and Sensible are sticking with the "Joker on the Super Match" ploy. Four of us are on QPR v Sunderland and one each on Hull and Leeds. There's a similar pattern in the Goal Time predictions, although it's Joe and Plym going for a later goal this time rather than Plym and SMH last time. Plym has any goal in the second half whereas it was SMH previously. I can't see Argyle holding out for a dour 0-0 firstly because it's not our style and secondly, I don't think it would work if we tried. We've a far better chance of scoring at the other end than keeping a clean sheet so it's more likely to be 3, 4 or 5 goals one way or the other. That's likely to mean the scoring starts early. One of the three that have placed themselves in the first quarter of the game could well be the winners.
Well, that's unbelievable. From the 4 games starting BEFORE 3pm today, we jointly took 64 match prediction points, of which 52 were won on the Stoke v Derby Super Match. From the 8 3pm kick-offs, we jointly scored a measly 14 points!
The current round isn't over but the next one starts on Tuesday 5th November, running through to Thursday 7th November. Here is the match text and Super Match in red. Bristol City - Sheffield United Oxford United - Hull City Queens Park Rangers - Middlesbrough Sheffield Wednesday - Norwich City Plymouth Argyle - Portsmouth Swansea City - Watford Blackburn Rovers - Stoke City Coventry City - Derby County Millwall - Leeds United Luton Town - Cardiff City Preston North End - Sunderland West Bromwich Albion - Burnley That's the good news. The bad news is that the round after that starts on Friday 8th November!
Once again some poor forecasting. Nobody predicted Sheffield Wednesday 2 Watford 6. Just not good enough and of course it played havoc with the goal total. More worryingly, Lyndhurst knew Millwall would beat Burnley and by the only goal. Sounds like insider dealing to me. Elsewhere, Joe and Sensible both got 12 from Stoke v Derby. I'm beginning to wish I hadn't thought of the Super Match feature. We all got something from that game though with 4 sixes as well as the 2 twelves. I got the goal time spot on at 30 minutes, more by luck than judgement. Joe and Sensible shared the closest goal total points, one goal either way on the actual of 34. Sensible extended his lead at the top and it was a good day for the tail enders, all making up points on the top 4 to one degree or another.

Ummm not a shed load Sensible. In fact, none. There's one game left to go in the current round, West Brom v Burnley at 8pm tomorrow. The next one kicks off 8pm on Friday 8th November. Here is the match text. As you can see, the Sheffield Derby is the Super Match (Sunday at 12.30 for those with the Blessed Sky Sports). Should be a walk-over for United. Or will it........? We'll have two jokers so those who risk a joker on the lottery of a local derby Super Match may be undone by others with two jokers elsewhere. please log in to view this image Watford - Oxford United Cardiff City - Blackburn Rovers Middlesbrough - Luton Town Stoke City - Millwall Derby County - Plymouth Argyle Leeds United - Queens Park Rangers Norwich City - Bristol City Portsmouth - Preston North End Sunderland - Coventry City Sheffield United - Sheffield Wednesday Hull City - West Bromwich Albion Burnley - Swansea City
