It’s a shame Jobe misses 3 games like, no complaints because it was a clear red. Just frustrating given how good he’s been. We should still have enough quality, but he will be a miss.
I am sure Regis said Aleksic has sttuggled with the language so far. Not every player can pick it up quickly, and it isnt easy to get the instructions clear as a coach when there is a language barrier. I am sure he will get his chance, but I do think patience will help if it means he can communicate on the pitch and understand clearly his instructions.
Normally happy with a point on the road but these have looked poor and I think a point each for QPR and Preston would dampen expectations a little. So, a win please.
I just expect us to win all the time now. Yes we will have blips. We will have off days but RLB has instilled a mentality into them I cannot recall seeing before. They have conceded a few recently and hopefully we can continue that trend. No idea what I have put on the predictor but I will take them to lose at home by the same score they did on Saturday. 1-3 to the cuddlies.
Great news Rigg is back from his chest infection and that ballard and alese are coming back into the fold. A throughly professional 0-2 victory would be great, Isidor and Roberts to score and a decent run out second half for Watson and Connelly
Cause he is 17 man! Doesn't need a rest at that age and all that. Glad the rumour turned out to be bollocks!
Gutted Jobe misses 3. But I cam see him coming back with the bit between his teeth and really stepping it up again, that's a daft thing to say on the face of it as the lads been consistently fantastic and easily one of the best cm's in the league. But I think he is the type who will be so dissapointed to be missing any matches and feel like he has let everyone down (he hasn't by the way!) Which will make him come back even more determined.
We will miss him but he will learn from it. To me it didn't look that bad in real time (certainly looked worse on the replay) but Celar certainly made a meal of it rolling around and the 4 QPR players running to surround the ref didn't help his case either. Celar then rose from the dead to continue playing Martinez got a yellow for a worse challenge yesterday.
Mayenda was putting up some great numbers before injury. Isidor is shooting more but from worse positions, still very good numbers mind.
Preston good record at home in midweek games.... "Only Manchester City have a longer unbeaten streak in midweek home matches in the top four tiers than North End, who have taken 41 points from 21 league games under the lights at Deepdale"
