Assuming he can get/stay fit. Worrying that it's been 3 months now and seemingly no closer to playing.
Would go with something like this; Isidor Connolly Roberts Browne Neil Rigg Cirkin O'Nien Mepham Hume Moore I don't think Browne is suited to the role of the more advanced midfielder so if Rigg is 100% he should play. If not it needs to be either Aleksic or Aouchiche in the role, although Aleksic clearly needs time and i'm not sure Aouchiche will ever feature again. I do think Browne will be an excellent replacement for the Jobe role though and he'll slot in there nicely, from what I know he has a bit of a grudge towards Preston so hopefully he'll have a stormer. My thought process behind Isidor on the wing is based on two things. Firstly, I think Mundle has been slightly off the boil in recent games, not bad by any means but I think he would benefit from coming off the bench against tired legs. Secondly, Preston play a back 5 and don't play wingers, so Isidor can isolate the wide centre back while Cirkin only has to deal with the wing back. I think Isidor up against a centre back in wide areas will be a mismatch. Then naturally that allows Connolly to make his first start, this could also be Mayenda but not sure how match sharp he is. Preston leave so much space behind their wing backs and the midfield offer little cover in front of the back 3, so it's a game for our wide players and the more advanced midfielder to dominate. Want to see us dominate the ball and create numerous chances. We have a hard run of fixtures coming and this is the 'easiest' on paper. 1-3. Browne, Mepham, Roberts.
Don't call it Bris if it's a girl. That's a Jewish circumcision One of my dogs was called Gucci (named before we got her) I called her Gooch for short . Obviously our player and to save embarrassment. The kids found it more amusing though as they pointed out Gooch is the bit of skin between bollocks and arsehole
Le Bris says he expects Jobe to miss 3 games. It won't be an appeal, apparently, Le Bris even adds that they analyzed the red and that Jobe will learn from it and come back stronger
3 game ban. No complaints really, poor challenge. It’ll be weird not having Jobe though, as he plays every minute no matter what.
I think RLB said in the press conference that now is the time to start rotating the squad, so I would expect Aleksic and Watson to get game time this month. Samed next month. Dan and Aji will be re-introduced gradually too, then hopefully Huggins and Seelt in the New Year. RLB needs to do this to prevent some of the youngsters burning out, like Neil and Doyle did a few seasons ago. This is my first away day of the season, so really looking forward to it. Riggy being fit is a real bonus and a big boost ahead of kick off. The atmosphere will be brilliant. Can't wait! Really can't see us failing to score in consecutive games and our defence seems capable of keeping better teams than Preston out. I'm going for 0-2 win, with Isidor and Cirkin finding the net. HTL!!!!!
If the club believe it's worth persisting with players I'm fine with it. We're doing the same with Huggins in different circumstances. Whatever the case it doesn't bother me in the slightest, it's their money not mine.
HA'WAY THE LADS MACKEMS ATTACKEM Hopefully going to this, if the other ticket turns up Disappointed with a draw at QPR as we could of won that one but shìt happens, (like the sending off .) Shows how far we've come. And a well earned point under the circumstances. Jobe will be a miss. But Rigg is back hooray Coooomon
I agree. The club see these players every day and know what their situation is and what they are worth to the club, not only now but in the future. If they are happy with them then who are we to argue with it.
We have 4 midfielders which we use in every game. With Jobe missing and many of us thought Rigg might also miss some games, we seem light in midfield and have no ready replacements. Theres also the yellow cards to consider. I think this is where not giving minutes to the likes of Aleksic might have been a mistake. Games like Oxford, he could have had 15 minutes and we could see how he manages that. I know it’s hindsight but the likes of Watson could also do with a bit more game time. Relying on the same 11 has advantages but more and earlier use of our subs should be used so that when one of the first 11 isn’t available we have a match fit replacement ready and not an unknown.
great news about Rigg being available looking forward to it be first time going to Preston lets get back to winning ways Haway The Lads
