Graham Bilton aged only 61. My youngest brother sadly passed away this morning after a short illness. He has been an occasional poster on here over the years and an avid City fan. Despite moving from Hull to Wolverhampton many years ago, made regular long journeys with his family to see City at the MKM. some of the proudest days of my life… so happy to have shared them special moments with Graham, and our other brother, Walking together in our City shirts feeling 10 feet tall along Wembley way, to play off finals and an FA cup final, I dream to get there one more time….. if I do, I’ll know you’ll be with us again watching from above Rest in peace bro.

Quincy Jones 91. What a career, 28 Grammy Awards. Brilliant musician, arranger and producer. Admired by Basie, Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra amongst many others. Produced Thriller and Bad for Micheal Jackson.Composed numerous film and TV soundtracks, Count Basie said of Thriller that he and Mikes Davi’s could not have come up what he did. High praise indeed.
Never thought I'd ever announce this in this way. In the old days we would be announcing a death in the HDM but that particular era ended a long time ago, so...My old fella, age 93 in HRI, week last Saturday. Good innings, so no real shock because it was expected and in some ways a relief for us all in the end. I used his name for a while when writing stuff for the fanzines, and it was a use of this name, Ken Clarkson ( I'm his son, work it out) that broke the news in the HDM of Martin Fish selling the clubs name plaque at Boothferry Park back in the day. Took me to my first ever City game, v Everton FA Cup, January 3rd? 1964, North Stand terrace just behind the invalid cars's enclosure. Did well for himself workwise, from a labourer at Hull Brewery to foreman electrician, plant supervisor and on his death certificate which I did yesterday, Optical and Visual technician. Never bought me a pint in a pub, father and son style in his life, and taught me from a very young age that you get nowt for nowt. If you have a dad, make him a friend and hope he see's you as one too. ...
Sorry to hear of your loss Tickton. Deepest sympathy to you and your family at this sad time. RIP Ken.
