Sorry but thats rubbish.... how many away games have you been to... because if you did you would know that our away support is just as good. If you go to any ground, likely 75% of people are non vocal (exceptions of course), its just not there thing. We've never been massively vocal at home, perhaps in part to do with the changes of seating that happened under the Allams. IMO its also to do with the proximity of away support, opposing fans baiting each other. You should stick them in the SE corner..., **Apologies... not read properly.... take out the first sentence..
The last decent atmosphere was probably under Marco Silva. Obviously years of the club circling the drain a bit hasn’t helped. I do hear a bit that the stewarding isn’t helping. We could still do more
Someone I know showed me text messages apparently from Cooper saying he was still holding out for a Premier League club but that City offered him a lot of money. This was in June. I don’t think Walter was ever first-choice no matter what Acun says. Seems Cooper was first-choice and the club was willing to pay over the odds to get him.
When compared to some other places our home vocal support isn't that bad...But if there's nothing much to get excited about its going to be subdued.
Nah it's truly shocking. Can't think of many grounds I've been recently where it's been worse. Cardiff last season is the only one that stands out
According to this Cooper might be available soon. https://www.footballinsider247.com/steve-cooper-exclusive-leicester-city-make-sack-decision/
How many away games have been too? Started in 1964 and I have not missed a season since. I don't go to all away games obviously and I haven't been away this season yet due to health and other issues, but work it out for yourself, over 60 years of support, home and away, and no free trips to Turkey. Our away support since leaving Boothferry Park has been very good and I'm surprised how many do travel away. It hasn't always been like that believe me. Even during the 70/71 season when we were averaging over 20,000 at home, Sheffield United away apart, there would be two buses there and I'd be on one of them. I was going away when you dare not show your colours, and our numbers where in double figures, not thousands. So it wasn't rubbish, I don't make stuff up.
We are quiet at home and north stand isn't as loud as it was. Not seen any stewarding problems in north stand though and we've stood and sung for every game since moving there - no requests to sit, ever. Some negative nellie's in there this season, same as last, but plenty of vocal support too. Yesterday was worst in a while but no wonder with that performance. Hard to get behind the team when they don't look like they want us to get behind them. Plenty of our team would be welcomed with open arms by other clubs. We have to hope a corner is turned soon before a malaise sets in. Anyone know what Macca was doing when he started warming up and then disappeared into the tunnel between west and east stand for a few minutes? He ran off and we were joking that he'd gone home.
Says that Leicester players might not be convinced or like his style of play. They’ve gone from a possession-based style of football under Maresca where they controlled the ball and tempo of the game to Cooper’s style of sitting deep and counter-attacking. It’s a huge change and I would say to City fans on here, be careful what you wish for. You might find Rosenior and Walter’s style of playing out from the back boring and turgid. Wait until you watch your team not touch the ball for 10 or more minutes. Cooper’s style of football is going out of fashion.
You only need to look at how forest have absolutely flourished since he left. I didnt want cooper in the summer And id rather have walter than him Atleast walter looks cool
Cooper got Forest firing, and he was organised. They got promoted and he was then out of his depth. He'd be great for us now.
I didn't tbf, was in Finland that weekend. First time I've missed that fixture since the previous time we won there under Bruce That lot with the drum and flags next to us used to make a racket
Nah not having that they sand for the first quarter then went totally quiet until half time when we were in the lead and they never looked like scoring - as soon as they hit the goal they pushed up , their players got stuck in and worked their buts off and the t to hear fans recovered - I’ve done it hundreds of times watching city especially in the lower leagues backs to the wall response like TT said . That’s all it’s nothing special or unique .
