He will be a miss. He has been immense this season. But as always a chance for someone else to shine. I am looking forward to see how Browne can influence the team. We were all excited to sign him in the summer. Chance now to see if he improves us in different ways. I also think we might see a bit more of Connolly in the next 3 too. He looks sharp as a tack when he comes on.
Browne was Preston's best player last season, possibly Millar but he left as well. I'll be expecting a tough game but see no reason our team can't get a result. BTW how does his suspension affect the contractual agreement that he has to play every Sunderland game
Every player can be improved upon, but that wasn't the discussion point. You said we wouldn't get promoted with him in the team. After 12 games we are 3 points clear at the top. He has played almost every game, scoring once and providing 3 assists. Quite how that translates to "never get promoted with Roberts in the team" I do not know.
His goal was from a penalty kick and its his first goal in two years, his assists are debatable. My prediction is not, its only a prediction .
Although we know the hold the Machiavellian force that is the Bellingham family has over nearly everything, I don't think their reach has extended to the incorruptible EFL....yet...
I like Roberts as a player, and he has been miles ahead of what he was last season in this campaign. But he does need more end product. IMO of course
Facts: 1 goal and 3 assists Your facts: goal was "only" a penalty and the assists are "debatable" Goals are goals. They still need to be scored Assists are assists....unless you decide they don't count
I wouldn't disagree. I also think we need to use him better - there is no point giving him the ball 40 yards from goal and expecting him to be beat 5 players - his best work is around the edge of the box. We need to feed him better balls. RLB said as much recently. None of that means we cannot get promoted with him in the team.

The best away fans at Loftus Rd all season. They never stopped singing. Very friendly outside the stadium too. Totally loyal football people who support their local club. Is Jobe's red card a 2 or 3 match ban. Just looking at the rules and if it is just a foul then possibly 2, or is it classed as violent conduct then more like 3? Just thinking with both Riggs and Jobe missing could be a big difference,
3 games. Serious foul play. The only 2 game ban is for foul and abusive language please log in to view this image
L09 REACTS TO JOBE RED Luke O'Nien has discussed Jobe Bellingham's red card, the dressing room's reaction and also praised the impact Jobe has made this season. NO NEED FOR APOLOGIES “Jobe’s been superb and sensational for us this season and he doesn't even need to apologise for the group.” ONE OF THE BEST THIS SEASON “He puts in tackles and that's just part of playing the game at the high intensity he does is his quality, both in and out of possessions. He's been one of the best players in the league this season and we'll miss him next week but he's still a vital part of the group and we'll look forward to having him back." REST AND BOUNCE BACK “Jobe didn't need to give us a message after the game. You could see how disappointed he was so the boys will just get around him. We know what he's delivered to the scene this season. He just needs to go rest up and just get ready for the game when he's back. He's been one of the best players in the league this season." THESE THINGS HAPPEN “What he does both on and off the pitch is magnificent and when you play at the intensity he does week in, week out, sometimes you're going to slightly overstep the line. If he did today and it was a red card, but he doesn't need to say anything. The boys love him and we'll miss him next week.” please log in to view this image
Had a good second half but to be fair it was backs to wall for the last half hour, all of the defenders done well keeping a clean sheet and Neil gets some credit for that too. As others have mentioned this is a game we would’ve lost last season. A point away is never really a bad result as long as you’re winning your home games, albeit on paper they were 23rd and it’s a game we should be winning.
Gutting about Jobe. He’s playing so well, but Browne will possibly play that role better than Rigg’s. Will we see Aleksic?
Considering, by Wednesday, we’ll have played 5 games I. 2 and a half weeks. 4 of them away. Not sure I’ve ever seen that before at any level
Was looking at stats on wyscout last night and Roberts is rated as the 2nd best RM in the league so far this season (Gnoto no1). Roberts has been really good this season, has had a couple poor games recently but that's the same for every winger in the league this season (probably bar sainz whose been class most games) I would def like to see a RM come in and push Roberts but we can def get promoted with Roberts in the team
