What’s the timeline for this, when roughly will it be in the stage of having things filmed there? Guessing it’ll be a further year or two before anything produced there actually hits the Cinema screens. Are we talking this decade or into next?
Leo, said spades in the ground by August 1st, if there was no local objections, ie from North of the tyne.
Just name dropped this project in the budget, £25m for North East combined authority for remediation works on site
No thanks to Labour … … this is the investment the Mags promised the NE when the Saudis bought their club. Praise be to Allah
Aye, it’s been rumbling away slowly in the background for months now. I picked up our task on site end of August iirc.
I thought the Spring was the starting date? Last I read... https://www.constructionenquirer.com/2023/11/21/plans-in-for-450m-sunderland-film-studios/

Class. I had a tour of the new footbridge and HICSA the other week, absolutely brilliant. Really going to make that area stand out. Didn't realise that they are going to knock up 100 houses or so in and around the sheepfolds and metro area.
Absolutely huge mate. Was talking to the PM (Project Manager) about it, really is monumental change for that area. The footfall and opportunities that it will present are significant.
Was that Tyler? Old ET building getting renovated into luxury flats anarl. Starting to take shape now, planters etc will be going in and it’ll be a belter. Long time coming mind
Drove over the bridge yesterday and seen there was movement. Noticed the print place just further along is up for sale aswell. All falling into place nicely. Haway PALLYWOOD
Any idea when the bridge opens? At the threatre a couple of times after the season would be ideal to go to sheepfolds then have a walk over, the city centres come on loads recently, using these trips to try to sell it to the misses so we can move over
Happy days one of them is in August, looking forward to it haven’t had a proper night out in Sunderland since pre lockdown
