The last point is what really matters
And its the downfall of a lot of managers over the years
Its human emotion in a way
But if the players slowly subconciously question tim, it gathers momentum
Theyre only human, and when you get asked and told do things and the results dont come, its a slippery slope

Yep. It's what happened to Phil Parkinson. He had a lot of good ideas. But he couldn't get the buy in of the senior players.

I agree. This squad is soft as **** barring Coyle. It’s been that way for a while now with the players who have been here a while and we seem to recruit the same type of player. They just get bullied constantly. Most of them aren’t going to run through brick walls for a manager they like, let alone Walter. They’ve got no bottle. We can talk about Walter’s tactics and Rosenior’s tactics and their shortcomings but not enough gets said about the players and how crap and scared a lot of them are. I’m sick of making and hearing excuses for some of the playing staff.

Ok. If that's the case, what did Tan actually do?

Players, fans, press, owners ask questions of managers.

It's whether they provide meaningful, tangible answers that's essentially their job.

You can't always please all people all of the time.

But I think Tim's coming up short on all 4 counts so far.

Were they? I thought the first half was poor too and said so at ht. Don't know where this idea if was a great half comes from, we had two chances by 25 mins, scored one stuffed one up and that was pretty much it. Puerta had a chance from a tight angle a bit later but if we're hanging our hat on that being a good half how low has the bar got?

We were good enough to win it comfortably in the first 25. After that we were still in control apart from chances we gave them ourselves, but there was only 1 clear one.

Second half we looked like a pub team from the off, the changes didn't keep pace with the tactical adjustments they made at half time. What's the point in replacing the midfield when we bypass midfield?

This guy's seriously out of his depth.

He can take his goal music and **** off.

He still couldn’t get the side with the biggest budget promoted with a ‘rocking’ atmosphere. If you want the crowd to clap, stop taking 25 minutes to get out of our own 18 yard box in a goal kick.

After we went one up and for the first 20 minutes I thought we would go on and score a hat full. The first half was okay, though we should have been 2 or 3 up, but I was optimistic we would go on and score more.

That belief was shattered a few seconds into the 2nd half, a fiasco of a goal, Simon's has to be culpable for. After that there was only one team in it, they wanted it more than we did, and probably deserved the 3 points, and would have got them if not for Pandur's double save

Only Pandur, Belloumi and Coyle for me had reasonable games, other than that the rest bang average.

I was willing to give TW time, but the more I see us play, the style he wants to play just doesn't work in the Championship. We certainly are not seeing the attacking football we were expecting, and it is clear Championship teams on the whole don't allow us to play in a way TW wants.

I would love him to succeed, but I get the feeling the players are not happy with it, and unless by some miracle we beat Oxford and West Brom, maybe the game against West Brom just before the international break will be what the cobbler throw at his wife.

I didn't read that as meaning an actual fight, more of getting bullied off the ball/losing possession/fear of taking on opposition players and general fear to play.

No idea whether getting rid of Walter is the right idea - 13 games would seem too early, but if it really is as **** as many post, then perhaps it is.

But I'm biased as more often than not, enjoyed watching Rosenior's team last season - yes, there were many frustrating home games, but counterbalanced by some great performances, some of the best performances I've seen from a City team and I felt a few tweaks would solved the issues this season. In hindsight, perhaps his lack of experience caused problems bedding in the new signings in January and so failed to get the holy grail of the play-offs, but I'm convinced had he been given support, it would have happened this season, so a big step backwards. Hard to move on, when so much opportunity has been missed.

I just listened to part of BC car park post match.

For me, he hit the nail on the head in his opening gambit. We dont go to football matches to be entertained, we got to football matches to see our team win and if youre entertained along the way, happy days.

*** in his piece he mentioned Tan Kessler already has a new job...

Getting him 2 proper strikers would have helped.
As I've said before, watch the first half v Burnley and tell me there isn't something there.

They need time and support. Forget promotion, just back the squad and watch them develop. Booing them is pathetic.

Agree with the good post ... except the last sentence! My, I now admit, growing biggest concern IS tactical with Tim. It looks to me like the players are fighting / playing for him (still, at the moment), although that said, I do think they are struggling with his style and that might well cause them to turn before too long.

Also, Rosie won a fair few when he took over from Averladze and got us away from the relegation zone.

I actually don't think they are playing for him based on the number of times he's doing his nut on the sidelines - we seem to be slowly reverting to full Rosie ****ing about at the back again - we've even adopted the ridiculous line of three along the six yard box and giving each other hospital balls - the ****ing about has got to stop - I pay to support the team but largely to be entertained - ****ing about at the back is not entertaining, it's ****e
