Read my post. I didn’t say play o9 in midfield I said play a back 3 with o9 stepping in to midfield

o9 as part of the 3 but stepping into the midfield when required

Yeah. He has some good qualities. RLB doesn't fancy him at all like. He has been pure binned off

Poor performance today so happy with a point, can’t really criticise Jobe he knew as soon as he made the challenge, the rest will do him good and gives another squad player a chance. QPR were woeful and dragged us down to their level. Thanks again RTB, enjoy your Saturday night everyone

Yeah. Sort of has to be IMO. He is solid enough and definitely should be used if we are 2 down in CM.

Sorry, pal. Its a good call you make and far more likely than putting O'Nien in midfield, as some are calling for.

Aye. It's an odd one. Wonder if it's a personality thing - RLB sold him to us 1 year into a 4 year deal didn't he?

Disappointing result today, but that says as much about what we have done recently as the actual game. We just lacked that bit of movement and creativity that Rigg brings, imo. Nowt against Browne, he played well I thought, but is a less instinctive player.

Silly tackle by Jobe. Clear red. He has done so much right this year though he has my patience on things like this. These are young lads, but I dont remember a set of lads who learn so quickly. I would bet he doesnt do it again. 3 games out will hopefully allow Browne to put his stamp on the team and with Rigg back it may be a like for like formation still. To be honest I look forward to Browne getting a run and see how he can influence us in different ways.

Great mentality, again, to hold out. It isnt always about easy wins come the end of season reckoning. Often it is games like this you look back on as valuable.

One lad stood out for me and that is Hume. My MOM. These last few weeks are his best in a Sunderland shirt for me. He has been largely immaculate. I had some doubts about his ability to push on again this season after last. I thought he might have reached his ceiling and be one we look to improve upon. He is proving me wrong at the minute and long may it continue. He is the type of lad as a player you want on your side. Good on him, he is a cracking lad, the sort you feel proud to have at your club.

“Riggy is OK, I don’t want to talk more because I’m not a doctor,” Le Bris said.

“He should be back in training next week. I don’t want to comment more because I’m not a doctor but he seems to be ok, which of course is good news for him and for us. It’s too early to say whether he can play on Wednesday, we will just have to wait and see.”

Le Bris is potentially facing a significant selection dilemma for the trip to Deepdale, with Jobe Bellingham’s red card meaning he is facing three games on the sidelined. Milan Aleksic is yet to make his debut for the team, while Adil Aouchiche was left out of the squad on Saturday and instead played for the U21s.

“First, we need to rest and recover,” Le Bris said.

“We have a core of the team who manage many situations and help the young players to help with the first team. I think we will find a new solution, we need to create something new. I don’t know what this will be at the minute.”

He’s playing well as a CB this season but he was shocking as a DM, that’s why he was forced into the defence. Neil is bad as the 6 never mind O’nien.

Is Neil really bad as a 6?

Last time I checked we where top of the league, Neil has played in every game bar 1 and apart from 2 silly mistakes has played his part well

No he isn't bad as a 6, played it really well last year in a struggling team and yes he's had a couple poor games this yr, he's had a lot more good games

He was good today again, he's such an important part of the team from a tactical point of view

I fully agree, he's the metronome of the team, sets the pace and allows Jobe and Rigg / Browne to get forward and shine

I think he’s consistently been the worst player in our Xl but that’s just me, I’m sure I’ll get told I’m targeting him but I can only say what I see. Jobe and Rigg both have something about them, they can change games. Neil can not. The amount of time Jobe has to spend deeper than Neil picking the ball up because he can’t play the role is astounding. Imagine KDB having to come deeper than Rodri to take the ball from the defence? It just wouldn’t happen or it would be a rarity if it did. As I’ve said above I know I’ll get pelters for it because he’s loved on this forum but I watch him week in week out and just don’t see what he does that makes people think, wow there’s a player.
