I'm ****ing exhausted. Can't be arsed with reading back or adding further comments so that's gonna have to wait til later. For now I'm just gonna leave this here:
Just got back. **** me that was mentally draining. Ramsdale MOTM by a margin today - ****ing magnificent in goal. Just seen that save from Keane again - WOW. The scenes in the Northam when Adarma scored were epic. Proper limbs. Got very lucky with the disallowed goal. Glad to hear Martin say he was disappointed with the defending despite the outcome because that would have been a ridiculously soft goal to concede. I do think the luck that we didn't get against Ipswich and Leicester to an extent with the penalty we didn't get has been somewhat evened out today. Great, composed finish from Adarma - huge goal both for Saints and him personally. Didn't have a great game it has to be said but kept his cool, when it mattered most. Hopefully the win lifts a huge weight off everyone's shoulders.
Side note - the PGMOL or whoever it is really need to improve the VAR experience for fans inside the grounds. I find it absurd that the conversation needs to be kept private or fans can't see the replays.
Really pleased for Russell, Has deserved alot more points that the table tells, hopefully this starts some momentum for the boys. Ramsdale and Fernandes are absolutely class.
So if KWP was in the correct position and in line with the other 3 defenders it would have been clearly offside and much less stress involved! What a ****!
Fernandes is a beautiful player to watch on the ball. Completely did an Everton player with a dummy in the first half. What a signing.
I was watching on a stream and had a screen into the VAR referees who were talking to each other and pointing at the screen for 2-3 minutes before deciding to actually put the lines that clearly showed he was off side. Utter waste of time as that could have been sorted on 30 seconds
The semi-automated system that comes in soon should significantly quicken the offside calls like this one. Can't wait TBH because that was an unacceptable wait today.
Tyler on the right and Adarma on the left could be the way to go for the future. Today was all about the 3 points and this will be massive for us moving forward. Aaron will save us 15+ points this season and that's why he was such a crucial signing. COYRs!
Brilliant to get a win. Ramsdale my MOTM, by a very long way. I've just read back through the thread, and note that Armstrong was getting way more stick on here than Manning. I guess that's because Armstrong was taking Dibling's place. But jeez, Manning is an awful LWB. He just doesn't have the speed to play that every role. I actuallly we were alright in the first half, but every time the ball went to Manning or Armstrong, the attack immediately ended. I look forward to seeing the highlights, because watching live I thought Beto was miles offside (but clearly it was very tight) and I thought Bednarek should have seen red.
