Honest assessment think we were the better team just first half controlled around 30 minutes of the half. QPR had 5 minutes either side of it first half where they looked dangerous. But wasn’t bad. second half ruined with a mistake red 10 mins in no intent from jobe unlucky but defo a red card did well to hold out for a draw and very happy with the point.
Assuming Rigg is out for a while, who takes Jobes position for the upcoming games? Throw Aleksic in? Change shape? Interested to see how RLB deals with it.
I know they’re **** but around us they’ve taken points off Sheffield United and Burnley aswell as beating Luton away which is a difficult game. So in terms of head to head no one yet has gained points on us against QPR
Again, I'm not getting on Roberts back, but,we should have had a more physical player there after the red card. And, he should have read the passes and ran into space when Brown was pressing looking for a through ball.
Well earned point. The lads fought hard and put in a good shift after the red. I actually thought QPR's best chances came when we had 11 men. They were the better team today but we weren't lucky to get a point, we earned it. The red card was blatant in my opinion, though there was no malice in it from Jobe. There's something about Connolly that I really like. He works hard and uses his body really well. I think we'll see plenty of goals from him when he's fully up to speed. MOTM could be most of the back 5 but I'll go for Trai Hume.
Can’t argue the red, but the ref gave us nothing at all. Lad kicks Connolly in the stomach, no card Mundle systematically fouled, no free kicks. It’s like there a ****ing rule that says stop them winning. Good point.
Can’t win them all, didn’t play great but didn’t look threatened much. Hopefully good news on Rigg to come first and we move onto to Preston.
Just watching the highlights on SAFC live and the best chance of the game was Dan Neil when he hit the post
Well I said this could be an awkward one, and the sending off didn't help. Well earned point away from home and with ten men. QPR drew their last 2 against Burnley and Coventry. They're maybe a better side than their position suggests. Still top with a 3 point gap
Silly tackle from Jobe, but it happens. More experienced players than him do similar. Referee didn’t seem keen on giving us many decisions mind. It’s a good point in the circumstances, move on to Preston.
Connolly in, out of possession it'll be fine as we plat 442 - I would worry more when in possession It might just be the moment to put aleksic in n see what he's made off
4 points ahead of 3rd, 10 points ahead of 7th, barely conceding chances never mind goals and another gritty away performance. I'll sleep easily tonight.
