Utter crap! Entertaining football my arse. They won't play many more bog standard teams this season and just look at that performance. This playing It around at the back does my head in along with free kicks near the half way line getting played backwards. The clock is ticking....
It's funny, after that three game winning run some were, what's the word, gleeful, that we'd been proven wrong and knee jerked after a small sample of games to start the season. I even asked at the time what would happen if that 3 game winning streak ended up being the small sample that it was and not reflective of an actual improvement.
If you're a City fan you're left scratching your head... If you're a Portsmouth fan you're extremely proud of how your team fought for every ball and put their bodies on the line. The owner will make the decision on whether or not he's satisfied with what he's seeing and no amount of falling out on here will change that!!!
I could have taken a 1-1 today if the performance had been ok. That second half was abysmal. Walter out.
Dare I say it, another poor performance, at home, against a very poor side. F'ked if I know how we manage it but we do, under as many managers as I can remember. Something's wrong but I'm not sure sacking TW is the answer because we've seen how good we nearly are a few times this season. I don't think our players are ever going be up to playing the system that TW dreams of, he needs to see that and adapt to get the best out of as good a squad as any in the league (except for strikers...).
We sack him now we can sack the next one in early January!! I didn’t appoint him I won’t sack him If I was acun I’d back the bloke as I appointed him the fannies on here are still sucking Liam’s cock the only difference to me is the beer doesn’t taste as good when you don’t win
Decent first half but I think the 2nd was about the worst we've seen. I'm not asking or expecting a sacking, but I would like to start seeing some changes. A common theme recently has been teams making adjustments and us struggling to deal with it, the changes never seem to work or get us back in control probably because they are trying to do the same things. That been said I think a fair amount of players let themselves down today and for me that was a bigger problem than the manager or any tactical decisions. In the first half we involved the midfield more than we have before so I was really hopeful but it all went out the window. Give Portsmouth some credit for their efforts but that is a game we should be winning.
Stoke weren't as poor at that point as Portsmouth are now though. I mean yes we've played poorly in games where we've probably had less output than today, but in terms of quality of opposition.
Bog standard? They were absolutely dog turd. Unfortunately after a promising first 20 we were worse. Reminded me of Stoka at home last year. Walter out
