Let's wait for the official announcement IF Rigg is missing. The club will let us know when they are ready and have the full facts. This is where itk gossip is harmful (in my humble opinion) as rumours grow legs and arms and mostly badly.
Fishpaste thinks Rigg “just” has a chest infection. Sorry all I appreciate this is gossiping, but I’m sure I’m not the only one worried about him. Hopefully fishpaste is right.
Or positive gossip ... ... Howe wants the West Ham job, at the end of the season, and has already been approached.
Sunderland’s French revolution leads weird and wonderful Championship SIMPLY LE BRIS Hands up who had heard of Régis Le Bris before the summer? Be honest … yeah, thought so. Sunderland supporters could have been forgiven for feeling a little underwhelmed at the appointment given their club had been linked (somewhat unrealistically) with Graham Potter and Steve Cooper, as well as the elusive Anglo-Belgian tactician Will Still. Le Bris landed in the Stadium of Light instead and even those familiar with his work harboured major doubts, given he’d just been relegated from Ligue 1 with Lorient. It’s easy to dig at Sunderland’s owners in the post-Netflix era but perhaps Kyril Louis-Dreyfus, the 27-year-old billionaire owner, has struck gold this time. So forget your Simon Graysons, your Chris Colemans, your Alex Neils, your Lee Johnsons – how many have we forgotten? – under Le Bris, the Black Cats are five points clear at the top after 12 games. How has the new manager done it? Largely by putting faith in youngsters Jobe Bellingham and Chris Rigg while sticking to a “structured” 4-3-3 with the onus on possession, according to midfielder Dan Neil, who is one of many shouldering added responsibility in the new setup. “He has definitely brought new ideas, new ways of playing,” tooted the 22-year-old on Le Bris, who is fast becoming a hero on Wearside. The crowds are back, too, with more than 40,000 flocking to the Stadium of Light every other week to witness the magic. This weekend, Sunderland visit struggling QPR and you’d be a fool to bet against them. The significance of that five-point lead at this stage of the season, especially in the weird and wonderful world of the Championship, remains to be seen. There are surprises everywhere you look. Luton might have made some fancy new friends in the Premier League last term but they’ve come back from holiday to find the fridge is on fire, slipping into the relegation places. Are Watford back under Tom Cleverley or will he be hurled through the well-worn door marked Do One at Vicarage Road in six weeks’ time? Who can say. How good are Cardiff? They failed to win in their first eight games and gave Erol Bulut, well, the bullet. Now, the Bluebirds are unbeaten in their last five; caretaker manager Omer Riza clearly has some managerial rizz. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...and-championship-regis-le-bris-football-daily
I did say don’t shoot the messenger. I had heard chest infection. But then also heard much worse from a more solid source. Same reason I haven’t posted all the details on here because it’s not fair if it isn’t true
yeh wasn’t shooting you or anyone, apologising for my own gossiping of it rather than criticising. We obviously don’t know exactly what it is but I think we all hope it’s minor!!
Come on here, absolutely knackered after two days of golf, booze and talking nonsense. Last thing I wanted was a Rigg concern. Hope he is fine, he will be really hard to replace for more than a game or two.
Better not to say anything then isn't it. Hinting at something bad from a better source just leads to speculation and rumours getting worse an worse
Time to pull the curtains around this and allow the staff to deal with the situation ... ... some things are none of our business imo.
As we all know this will no doubt grow and grow until the club announce something. Posts on here and otr hinting at serious heart conditions from solid sources don't help. Just my opinion
Read your post again and see how it could be taken and no doubt embellished. Sorry mate, you may hear stuff, but either spit out the whole story or don't hint. Just my opinion, probably reading to much into it
TBF it's a difficult conundrum, wanting to pass on info but not having the full story. I was told by my London lawyer friend, on Sunday, about the Beale appointment as 'caretaker manager only' and that Barcherni, our goalkeeper coach, is actually RLB's assistant. I've gone back and asked if I can post the details but have had no reply yet. I'll probably have to wait until Sunday, if he has a drink and calls, to know if I can spill the beans ... ... although I've been burned before passing things on, so sympathise with MadMackem.
In this situation I just feel it's better to say nothing or keep it private rather than add fuel to a fire. As I've said just my opinion and probably reading to much into it
