Can’t see past a win here. They will have to try and come at us at some point at home and they haven’t the players to defend against us. Won’t be as easy as looks in theory, 2-1 the lads. Connolly off the mark.
I don't think there's anyone on here, with a functioning brain, who thinks we can win all our games, home or away. We certainly won't. This is a tough league, anyone can beat anyone, which is why,I suppose,it's so enthralling. However, we are in the box seats.....playing very well, confidence will be sky high....and we fear no-one. QPR will be very much more apprehensive about playing us,than we are about playing them. I'm expecting our exciting young players to be too much for them.....but,we'll see.
It is mate....one of the best in London in my experience. Always remember Quinny's goal to win a very tight match there in.....1997?
Love his stuff it’s like an idiots guide to our tactics, which is exactly what I need, the pivots, double pivots talk goes over my head 90% of the time
His breakdown shows how impressive Neil’s performance was, central to absolutely everything and far more complex than ‘dropping into defence’ as id call it
He's a top player. Much loved among us,he's had a few adjustments to make in recent times, but he's top drawer.I have no doubts about him!
Something dawned on me last week, watching the full match again on YouTube. I'm like you, at the game, I see a red mist and only want us to win. On the second showing I start to see the tactics, positioning, etc and eventually the transitioning, triangles and turnovers. Then, when I see this lads analysis, the mist finally lifts and I can see what RLB is doing ... ... thankfully it doesn't take the players that long. However I'm happy with how I am for a particular reason. I now have a SC but never sit there because there's a 'tactical genius' within earshot. He'll continually, and loudly, explain to anyone and everyone, ‘what's happening’. He's often totally wrong, as these videos prove, but he's convinced he's right ... probably manages an under 11's Sunday team. I've made the mistake of going to gigs with musicians and it's the same dreary experience. Instead of getting carried away and enjoying a brilliant night, they'll analyse what's happening and explain it to you in between songs. So I find a seat at the SOL where there are people going daft, singing their heads off and jumping around like loons every time we score
With these Alt Ending videos, when he points out what's happening in matches, it all looks so bloody straight forward and simple! I noticed Hume move into midfield whilst watching the match but didn't notice Neil moving out left, I just thought it was like when Mowbray was in charge.
I have to say I actually laugh out loud, at the games, when someone shouts at O'Nien ... ... because he's 'out of position'
The RTB match day thread , and a team to match it , please log in to view this image . 3 points , who could ask for more. Me. More use of our bench would be ideal, bringing on players with 2 mins to go in the situation last time out is puzzlling . As is the all persuasive faith in Roberts to score imo. He appears to be a permanent fixture, yet his attacking and defensive capabilities are questionable to say the least, to me he is truly blessed to have Hume and Rigg tirelessly bailing him out. Nevertheless OaU.
My favourite thing about this video is the term wall sausage for a lad lying down behind a wall on a free kick
RLB Patto out for another week, Ballard close and will train tomorrow, Mayenda is ready to play now Competition for places is good, the players are doing well and the players on the pitch have to maintain that level We need to improve every game, we made mistakes against Oxford but we don't want to repeat them We will need 90 points and 30 victories. It is a good start but nothing else It's a new experience but every week we need to start again, the Championship is very competitive I always respect every team because in this league there isn't an easy game... it will be a tough game for sure.
I think you'll find that translates as, 'I think they're shyte and we'll batter them, thankfully the Ginger piss biscuit isn't there to injure Riggy.'
I think this will be a totally professional 0-2 win, and Roberts will definitely get his brace of goals in this game. Put your house on it!!! Bart
