Thanks, couldn't tell where it was on the screen, but it was an empty area, and poorly lit. Wonder if it gave him a different perspective, seeing what we have to put up with!
Martin is just taking the ****ing piss now. Whatever it is he is trying to achieve it isn't successful nor is it entertaining. I feel we the fans are being taken for mugs.
Martin said: "It should have been easier than what it was, we were so dominant in the first half and should have gone in 2-0 up so I'm a bit annoyed at that. "By the time I left the stands we were 2-0 up and it was 2-1 by the time I got down so I was annoyed and frustrated. "We won I'm happy, of course we can improve and there is a lot to build on. We had a really good performance in a lot of parts tonight and we won." https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/martin-lets-build-on-cup-win
Weird that we won 3-2 against Stoke in the cup, having gone 2-0 up and then scoring a late winner given that it was 10 years to the day that we won 2-3 against Stoke in the cup, having gone 0-2 up and then scoring a late winner. History Repeating
You should have a look Don’t know how it will look now if you didn’t see it then. Some stuff she’s better than other
My all-time favourite show. Can quote all of it. Season 1-6 are some of the best comedy the UK has ever produced. Also, first sitcom with a mainly black cast where race never came into it (unless you count being a cat!).
James’s goal with that assist from Sulemana, did show a brief but enjoyable moment for both. More like that please RM. We had loads of opportunities to do just that beforehand but that famous draw back for a reverse pass just got tiresome. Anyway we won, happy to take that!!
I'm probably against the grain but I don't think it was too bad last night. We dominated Stoke for almost the full first 45 and should really have gone in with at least a 2 goal lead. The second half was poor though until James stepped up with a cracking strike and we are still struggling for that consistantly good 90 minute performance. Yet another set piece goal conceded is frustrating and the team needs to learn how to control a game when leading still. The next two games are massive and this win will hopefully spark a little momentum going into them.
Most frustrating to me is the sheer number of last minute goals we are conceding. I highlighted this initially after the 5-0 drubbing by Sunderland last season, in which we unbelievably conceded a goal in the last minute of both halves. Then in the game immediately after we again conceded in injury time of the first half (vs Leicester). Just did a count and we conceded at least 14 goals (maybe missed one or two) in the last minute/injury time of games last season. That's almost 1 every 3 games!! Against Championship opposition. And we've learned nothing. Last night was the SEVENTH time we've conceded in the last minute of a half, this season: Last minute goals conceded: Newcastle - 45th minute (Joelinton) Brentford - 43rd minute (Mbuemo) Man Utd - 96th minute (Garnacho) Ipswich - 95th minute (Morsy) Arsenal - 88th minute (Saka) Leicester - 98th minute (Ayew) Stoke - 45th minute (Phillips) That's in just 12 games. So basically every other game we concede a last minute goal. How are we not able to fix this bullsh*t? Crazy.
As a matter of interest I think that if VAR had been in use, their first goal may have been ruled out for off side, when the free kick was taken, It was very tight and not easy to see in the crowded area, two of their players had stepped up and looked off side, but the Lino missed it.
