Yeah I took a hoody and a coat as I was expecting it to be cold but it was quite nice actually.

Saints players seem to lull themselves to sleep, then the opposition pounce.

The moaning stops when exciting tactics start. Obviously!

Well, I think it would be nice to give it a try for just a little while - say about a decade... or two...

Well we had FUN for 44mins and more FUN when Bree did his special cup thing again

I liked that Sulemana actually took them on 1 to 1 and wanted to get the ball in the area

The 2nd half endless side to side nonsense on the edge of their area was very tiresome

    Good to see Suga’s ok
    Joe never stopped working

    More FUN Saturday :1980_boogie_down:

I am not sure what you expected to see last night, I thought Stoke looked dangerous when they had the ball and should have given us more problems, but they only had the ball for about 20% of the game, they can't do much if they are spending their effort trying to win the ball and not getting it. We scored from a corner, tick. We won and scored a dubious penalty, tick, we won the game with a cracking finish, tick. It wasn't all bad, but there were plenty of negatives if you needed something to moan about, cross. I am glad I made the effort to go.

People saying Brentford are the weakest option - totally disagree. They’re our kryptonite. I’d rather face City or one of the others that doesn’t give a toss about this competition.

Yeah I was one & agree with what you’re saying but play like last night against any decent side & there’s only one result. Anyway, we ain’t winning the LC & last night was all about getting a win to take into Saturday. I’m not sure how that went tbh but a “win is a win” I hear. EFC & Wolves are massive for this season. 4 points min or we’re done.

It was odd that all the substitutes that came on were attackers, we finished defending a 3 - 2 lead, with two full backs and one Centre half, bizarre subbing.

I didn't see a massive problem with the subs. We were trying to win the game and probably had an eye on penalties.

But, but, surely - 'Attack is the best form of defence'. I can't wait until Russ instigates rush goalies

I did - there was no logic to them. We were all over the place after those late subs - no gameplan, tactics out of the window. There's trying to win the game and there's complete chaos. That was chaos.

Not to my mind. We played out the game higher up the pitch not sitting back which would have had the collective heart in mouth.

Whatever, it worked, you can't blame RM, as far as I can tell from TV repeats, he was sat in the back seats in the middle of the Kingsland? If it was the touchline ban for Saturdays yellow it served a useful purpose.

Well firstly, he was in constant communication with Matt Gill on the touchline so he can be blamed - he was sat in the Itchen, not the Kingsland. And yes it was the suspension he was serving.

Um, no… he was definitely sat in the Kingsland

He went and sat in a seat just in front of the area the analysts monitor and film the game from so that they were nearby and so he wasn’t disturbed by the fact there were plenty of other people in the Itchen

Oh fair enough. I assumed it would have been the posh seats in the Itchen as it would have been much easier to get to the changing room.
