At times it looks like there is method in breaking down a defence, but then it’s clear we have no idea what to do against a flat back 5. They really do just pass it about for the sake of possession. Fernandez and lallana are exceptions, but we just have no idea to unlock a defence

In all seriousness though that was utter dogshit. Martin very lucky that Bree bailed him out imo. Showed huge desperation with some of his changes. That last double sub was ridiculous and completely ruined our shape. It was like that thing you do as teenager on FM where you play a 4-1-5 formation cos you've ran out of ideas. In the hat though which is the most important thing.
Stoke commentators said exactly same. They added, that our meandering, pointless style provided Stoke with confidence they could defend & counter on the break which brought the equaliser & very nearly the winner.

It was absurd. The fact he got so desperately out of ideas against a very poor Stoke side speaks volumes. I've still no idea what SAA's role was meant to be.

We are a complete shambles tbh. Unfit, no shape, no creativity. Just really, really poor. I think Aribo comes away with a lot of credit. Thought he was everywhere. Bree for the goal and generally did ok. Fernandes too, before he was rested Everything else was mostly awful
