Watching this shower play like this tonight is why I wouldn’t back us to come straight back up next season. We struggle with teams who press high and we struggle against 5-4-1 set ups. The lack of individual creativity is not suited to our style of play that allows teams to park the bus.
That was absolutely ****. Anyone suckered by the illusion of a 'good' loss against Man City will hopefully have been woken up by that **** show. I don't care that we won, that was unacceptable.
Was hoping for tonight to be a small confidence boost. Instead I think the best we can get from that late winner is avoiding the negativity that throwing away another 2 nil lead would have created. As it is, nothing has changed, it is all on Everton in what is pretty much all or nothing for us and hopefully Martin too. Nothing less than a win is acceptable.
Dear oh dear. Never has a win been so unconvincing. We were an inch away from losing. Really not good enough again.
