With the new manager (MON) expected over the next few days the questions will be asked were is he going to strengthen in the January transfer window. We know that if Martin does come money for players will of been guarenteed or the bloke would not come pretty much as simple as that looking at that being the reason why he quit Villa. So lads were do we need to strengthen and anyone who would do a good job? Maybe an ex player of O'Neill's For me we should be going for... * A fast, big, strong, ball playing centre half * A pacey, left winger, doesn't necessarily have to be left footed just someone who can break forward on the counter attack and chip in with a few assists and goals. * Creative central midfielder * A natural goalscorer who can put away these chances we are creating Not sure about individual players but think we need to address those 4positions in Jan
It's not just a matter of strengthening the squad in certain areas, the new manager has to try & get the players to perform in their right positions
The main priority for January, we all know, is a proven goalscorer to work with Bendtner, Campbell and Whickham (I think Ji and Noble are for the future). Whilst I agree we will need the other three, I think they will be for the summer, unless someone special becomes available. The squad we have is more than capable, under O'Neill's tuition, of making an impact on the premiership. I think he will get the best out of what he has got and those that don't respond will be shown the door in the summer.
Agbonlahor would be the pick of the bunch been playing well this season as a left sided striker and got a few goals as well not to keen on Heskey but if O'Neill wants him then fine by me, cannot see it happening now like, he is getting on
I think we need to put a bid in for albrighton not getting a shout in at AV and might want to come back to MON
