Why can't leeds find the back of the net , but sunderland can ? It's between 2 white upright posts

How come leeds cannot score at bristol and other grounds and don't generally score alot of goals but sunderland can , does it mean they have better strikers ? or is it our formation ? Backwards and sideways passing ? Or just our useless non on target passes that seem to go astray ? If the players can't hack the hot pressure then they should get out of the hot kitchen , that's my rant what s your say on lack of goals ?

We've second highest number of goals scored behind Sunderland, hardly a crisis. Im sure every fan of every team thinks their team should be scoring more. The reality is our strikers are good higher championship quality but not as far ahead of the better ones as some believe probably

It’s not so much about the number of goals scored, more the amount of chances we have to create to score them. Look at the last game, Gnonto should have scored the one that was cleared off the line, Rothwell should have put his volley in and Joseph should have finished with his header. There’s the win right there <ok>

We did lose the best player in championship in summer and our highest goal scorer. People can berate him all they like but it’s difficult to replace the likes of Cree and we didnt

I think Ramazani will come good, shame he picked up the injury just as was getting going.

But what about our formation and passing sideways and backwards the manager decides this wrongly or rightly which is it

That’s not the issue as we still create more than enough chances to win a game.

It's not the formation because we create the 2nd most chances in the league behind Boro. it's being clinical Infront of goal. we snatch at many efforts we also struggle to hit anything clean aswell as not suppling the main striker with enough opportunities. We just need to be more composed but its been like that since we been in the championship probably because we have championship standard players.

Maybe we should try Magdeburg FC fans tactic to help out our players (unfortunately my IT skills means I don’t know how to upload the clip here).

Don't worry about your ability to score. If you read the Argyle fans comments (not on not606) then it's a forgone fact your next game will be a cricket score. Even the bookies have decided we have no hope.

It would be lovely for that to happen for us but normally it works the other way. I’ve got an open mind as to what happens and will make my mind up from what I see on the pitch.

I'm glad it worked in our favour. Do you think Rooney will get sacked soon?

To be honest I've watched the goals and I'm not sure Leeds can feel that great about the result despite the stats. Two huge richocets which is more unlucky than anything so two assists by us. But, to answer your question honestly no I don't think he will be for a number of reasons.

Firstly he is a big name in football terms and we have never had so much publicity or been able to attract a few of the players we have. That is probably down to him whether you like him or not. Secondly we are an ethically run club who don't go in for knee jerk. The last Manager was though a disaster from day one and he managed to upset everyone from the board down to the fans let alone the players hence only 3 months. That was the exception. Two managers ago he jumped ship due to "personal reasons". The one after that is at Stoke where he obviously saw a big carrot attached to a large cheque. Thirdly we have in Championship terms an extremely small budget compared to the rest. We cannot go out and buy a Gnonto or a James let alone pay them . The object of the club is to buy young and reasonably cheaply then develope and sell on for profit. A long term process to increase first team funds. There is no multi multi millionaire and our Chairman has never professed to be. He is 100% honest with the fans on what he can and can't do. He has invested a shed load in the infra structure and has made it clear that without it being upgraded substantially we will never achieve the dream.

Rooney bought into that and knew what he was getting before he got it. We all know he is at probably last chance saloon here with a managerial career. The fans were, lets say a bit astounded when he was appointed and many didn't want it to happen. But, to some extent the majority now back him despite the ups and mostly downs in results. We as a group are not stupid even if others think we suck on straws and get pissed on scrumpy at the weekend. We know the score from the Chairman and accept, even if we would rather it were different, the fact we are small fry compared to most. On a good day Home Park has a great atmosphere and rocks. That suits most of us and so calling for Rooney's head isn't the Sunday pastime.

I have a soft spot for Leeds from many moons ago. I'm talking Johny Giles, Billy Bremner, Reaney, Madeley, Sniffer etc etc. I never suported given I'm a born and bred Janner but I did admire the football of that era. Great team who frankly should have won more than they did. I hope you get back to the top league this season but I also ask is it the greatest place to be these days?

Thanks for your honest reply. I’ll admit I’ve no idea about your managerial position before Rooney and as with anything, persevering could still get you the results you crave. Swapping and changing managers all the time isn’t something I’m a fan of and in my opinion we should have kept Bielsa and built on what we wanted to achieve. We will never know now of course and we are where we are. The Premier League isn’t all it’s cracked up to be either. It’s all in favour of the big six clubs.

I’ve followed Leeds for over 50 years and Billy Bremner will always be my hero. I’m involved in a project to get him a statue in his home town of Raploch. I’m just glad I was privileged to have seen the best team ever play. You are right, we didn’t win as much as we should have, but definitely robbed out of two trophies in 1973 Salonika and 1975 Paris.

Not so much the result mate, more that Rooney basically gave this game up and apparently didn’t field your best team preferring to save them for midweek. That is shameful and if you lose the next match he deserves all the pressure that might come his way. To not even register a shot at goal of any description is pathetic so I feel sorry for any of your supporters that made the trip up for the game. As for deflected goals, what do you expect when you have practically your entire team sitting in your penalty box. Down to your manager but I’ve rarely seen such a craven performance with absolutely no ambition to even make it a football match.

Yep hard to defend the way we played but I can see why he didn't go for it gung-ho. We are a smallish club and had 7 players out for one reason or another. Couldn't pick the best team even if he wanted to. We are better than that normally honestly we are.
