How many seasons of such “battles” would it take for something to actually change. Not sure what could really be done mind you. But I wonder if the product will become a much harder sell if the results are basically the same. But it would be far more likely to lead to the American owners successfully pushing to just close it up and get rid of relegation
Latest statistical simulation I’ve seen has us finishing bottom on 26 at the end of the season….. seems generous!
Total bollocks. We won’t get into double figures. I’m thinking 5 points max. 5 draws. No wins at all. Not bothered, it will less stressful knowing that we won’t be nail biting after Easter.
Now if they don't go for Potter, I wonder if he will adjust his expectations of the sort of club he can attract now having been out of work a while and it having not worked out at Chelsea (not that I really blame that on him).
Even if this is true and he adjusts his expectations, I don’t think it would be to someone like us. More likely a mid table PL side who will sack their manager at some point as someone always does, or Wolves
I wonder how long it will be until the Bournemouth manager Iraola gets linked with these sorts of jobs.
Southgate, Van Nistelrooy interim for now, hopefully he does a Solskjaer and they give him the job full time
If the gap between the Premier League and the Championship keeps growing and promoted teams keep getting relegated after one season, it will only be a matter of time before the American owned clubs start agitating to end relegation from the Premier League.
That will never happen. The outrage from the Super League proposal would be tiny compared to the reaction to that.
