June needs to break an arm or something. He has played almost non stop since he was sixteen and he needs a rest.

It's a bit of a lesson to us I suppose. Our teenagers could use a small break now and then. Hopefully that can be done when some others get fit to help out.

Yeah 100% he was exhausted in the Euros absolutely flogged to death. They’ve then played him deeper so he’s had to cover more ground, he was lost last night game absolutely ran him over.

Some say we pay FIFA and they hold onto it until sanctions are finished. Seems logical but don't know if correct

Funny one with Roberts - he is a great talent but I slated him last season and my son thinks I’ve been too harsh. He’s been great this season but it’s now a joke between me and the son - I just give a look when Roberts eventually loses it or fails to score or set one up. Probably means I focus too much on the negatives with him now.

    Makes sense in a way.

Zenit aren’t exactly waiting on the money even in these circumstances. They are backed by Gazprom which effectively means they print their own money.

Think been that plus Madrid and Camavinga haven’t always been there to play. They have a stunning group of players but they can’t quite get the blend right. They will of course and it will be terrifying when they do.

Mbappe has been largely ****e for them. We have seen plenty of the lad having no heart at club level.

You aren’t wrong though. A player who can effortlessly beat 3-4 men several times a match and surge into the box should really be scoring more goals. He creates chances for sure but when you’re in a “front 3” essentially you need to score and assist. But as I’ve said before this is why he’s playing for Sunderland and not someone in the top half of the PL.

I did think he was unlucky when he played the ball to Mundle in yards of space back post he should’ve hit it first time but he took a touch and fluffed what seemed to be a really simple chance to score or at least work the keeper,

I think the criticism of him last season was fair and justified, the lack of end product was stark. Been a lot better this one though, goals aren't flying in yet but looks a threat and notching up assists.

Best just to enjoy him he's the kind of player footy fans love to watch.

I want to go back to the days of signing the likes of Will Grigg. It’s too boring now signing good players and winning all the time :)

Just watched the little 2 minute one first. If Wilsons goal had been Haaland the Sky pundits would still be splurging all ower about it.

Just watching the highlights and have we finally learned how to play with a striker again? Some fab through balls yesterday.

Remember the doldrums of us dropping down to league 1, the poor performances and the comparison once again reared it's head liking us to "trying to turn an oil tanker around".?

Well now we're like a Saturn 5 rocket. And try stopping us :emoticon-0148-yes: <laugh>

So glad you said that and not “top, top player”! Does my head in when people say “top player, but not a top, top player”

Not like you try to get to the “top, top of a mountain “ is it!!

Agree totally mind. Something oozes quality from the lad.
