Wilson scores with a 70 yarder for goal of the month on Sky. Wilson, hold my beer. What a fantastic pass and goal that was. Got to be upthere with the best for the way he took it.
Whole day was magic yesterday. From the founder's week stuff to the sprinklers coming on, to the performance and result everything was wholesome enjoyable content for any Sunderland fan.
Watching that Isidor goal back. Over and over. Ridiculous goal. Quite shocking the skill he showed there. Our recruitment team seem to have either got incredibly lucky or just figured it the **** out this year.
I can’t get over Mepham. How the **** was he available for loan? How did we get him? What do we have to do to sign him and Wilson immediately/January. Even if Wilson was **** we’d like him, the lad is infectious. But he isn’t ****. He is a random bag of all sorts and supremely effective with it. Remember not so long back we were a bit critical of the intent and quality of the recruitment? I mean **** me we knew they’d improve year on year but this; this is just crazy. I have never seen a player develop as fast as Jobe or Riggy. I can’t remember consistency like Luke or Meps. And the absolute sorcery of a manager that can play the same team 3 different ways in a week, and rack up 9 from 9 is insane. Pre-match was a beautiful thing. Smiling faces, just a really warm vibe everywhere you went. Positivity, beyond hope. The club is just so alive right now. We probably don’t end the season as runaway league winners, but you can see people visibly falling back on live with the club. Wise Men Say never felt more appropriate. We have to applaud KLD, we have to applaud Speakman (feels crazy he was so vilified by many at this stage), we have to credit a sharp, classy and astute manager, we have to credit a wonderful set of players who want to make things happen, we have to credit Hummel, who I genuinely feel started the party by hitting 3 generations of us in the feels, and we have to credit ourselves. Some of if not the most deserving set of fans in the land. There’s a rare selection of clubs where I see the bond between players, staff and fans at the end of games. The emotion has felt very real several times this season and as I say, it’s a beautiful thing. We Are Sunderland indeed.

Utter **** all season FFS He had a poor spell for a few games by his standards and made some mistakes in a couple of games. And if the nobber is going to slag him off, at least give credit for a decent performance FFS
Anyone who can find anything to be actually unhappy about at this point is just beyond me. I get Neil hasn't been at his best and he's got room to improve but the midfield as a three has been ****ing fantastic and he takes credit for that just as the others do.
Aye he's a good player and had a bad patch as any player can. He's started to improve last few games. Do these idiots think we should just get rid of a player if he's having an off time FFS. Sunderland signed Isidor on a season-long loan from Zenit in August, with the Black Cats including an option to buy clause in the deal, as per BBC Sport.2 days ago Hopefully, he's class like
How the **** do we pay the Russians though. Wasn’t a concern at time but is a growing one now. Does he maybe buy out his contract and we pay him or some ****? There will be a solution.
Jobe has come on so much since the end of last season. Will be playing top level next season either in this country or abroad imo. Glad Neil did so well too as he is ticking things over for us in there allowing others to flourish. We might have some solid players returning to increase the squad depth in the next week or 2 in Ballard, Patterson and Alese. Hopefully Huggins in the new year too. Also think Connolly is a very astute signing. Couldn't have dreamt a better start.
I said at the start of the season we would get promoted. My lad said "yeah right". (we're shìte after most losses according to him ) He came home from work yesterday buzzing. Big smile on his face and proclaimed "weeere going up" Last years poor run towards the end was understandable due to a lack of direction but not a fair representation of the quality within the squad. We only needed a quality coach in my opinion and we got him It's a long long time since we had such a great season. Can't believe anyone moaning. I'm fooking loving it .
Quite a while since I posted on here, so hello again to everyone! Too busy, lost the habit, changed phone, lost password, locked out, bit of an impenetrable re- entry carry on and so on. Gave in. Old phone found in a drawer though, so I thought I'd chip in. This team is, as Regis might say, "very interesting". They keep learning and improving before before your eyes and its hard to say where the top end is for a lot of these lads. Very, very high in some cases I'd expect. We'll all see, but we are miles ahead of west I expected, in points and play, and 28 out of 12 is a hot start in any season. Of course, Regis would not gave been my first pick as coach. But, nor would anyone else, I didn't have one. I knew barely anything about the various options, so a bloke who has had twenty years or so working with a lot of young players looks like an inspired pick, especially as he seems to be so smart tactically. He also seems, as far as you can ever tell from a distance, a decent bloke, which always helps. Whatever mistakes were made last season, when everyone seemed to lose focus, have been sorted with interest and you can't ask for more than that. Really, reallygood to go and watch this lot, you'd have any one of them with you in a scrape. As no doubt others have said, almost every season the Championship has a team around the top that no-one saw coming. There can't have been many who say us five points clear after twelve games.
Genuinely think Madrid will be tracking Jobe. Probs doing us a favour that Jude has fell off a cliff this season.
I just think Jobe is playing in his best position now. Last season he showed glimpses of quality in a poor side with no direction from the top. Now he is flourishing in a role which he is suited to. And .lving it too! As are we all cos the lad is utter class.
Jobe had this look about him like ‘I know I’m good’. Top players have that. He is, or certainly is on his way to being, a top player.
