So your kid is 18 and seriously talented, plays for England under 21s, and is a star for the Chelsea Academy. Big future at Chelsea you'd think, except they have banned him from playing. He won't even sit on the bench let alone step onto the field. Drugs, booze, bad behaviour?? Why ?? He hasn't signed the contract extension they offered. At a professionally run Club he'd be getting minutes whenever possible, learning, improving, becoming part of the Team, part of the Club. But not at Chelsea. Chelsea want him to sign an extension and apparently think the way to get him to do so is to bully and belittle him. So he's been told, no sign, no play, not in any team. From the Academy, right up to 1st Team. Stewart and Winstanley apparently think that's a smart way to get what they want. Their initial offer was not to the liking of the youngster or his family. He initially indicated he would sign, then changed his mind having decided it was not right for him. Chelseas' response tells you everything that's wrong with the Club from the top down. They resort to bullying, or what looks very much like blackmail, to get what they want. What a bunch of scum bags. They should be collectively ashamed. . If the "Sporting Directors" were instructed from above, they should walk away and not look back. If the Club owners are behind this, they should be condemned. If he was my 18 year old he'd walk out the door right now, and never come back.
Thats disgusting, if true, and I agree whoever decided this was the way forward needs to be expelled from the club. I am fast losing patience with this ownership, have had about enough of it. How the ****ing UK government decided these guys would be best placed to own our club over Roman is beyond me.
