And that's with the inclusion of a "not bothered" option (why vote then?). If it's just between yes and no it's significantly more one-sided.
IF, and it’s a big IF, we were to adopt goal music what would be your preferred choice? Mine would be the Benny Hill music when he’s chasing birds around in a park.
Because I'm literally not fussed either way if it exists or not. It adds nothing for me but likewise detracts nothing at all from my enjoyment of us scoring. I'm nonplussed by the strong reaction people have to it. Is it just because its something from out side of the British tradition like Capos? I appreciate I'm in a minority but I can cope with that too.
I don't think "not bothered" is ever a worthwhile option. It just dilutes the vote of people who do have an opinion. If you don't have an opinion, voting isn't mandatory. Hence you wouldn't see such an option on an election ballot or referendum. Back in the bad old days this is what the Allams used to make it seem like there was less opposition to the name change. If I recall correctly the "not bothered" vote was similar in size to the "no to hull tigers" vote, which of course they used to argue that it was more popular than it was. Barely anyone voted yes to it, similar to this poll. Obviously this isn't really very important so it's not a big deal, but I did think it was worth pointing out that 71% against actually understates it.
Seems the goal music is here to stay anyway. Walter basically saying he's going to convince us to like it. https://twitter.com/HumbersideSport/status/1849452310327332918?t=U1ZEivogIY4tc7gH7OVtjQ&s=19
Sometimes, "not bothered" isn't valid, I agree, it's not valid for a general election or a referendum. However, I think it's valid in this case as it indicates that I am happy for it to be either there or not. In you Allam's example that was for a loaded question. To paraphrase it was "I'm not bothered I just want a successful team" actually in this case perhaps it is fair because as for goal music "I'm not bothered I just want a successful team"........You can **** off any name changes though
Whoa Rover, I didn’t mean it smelled like east Hull, I meant it was that bad that you could have smelt it as far away as east Hull.
'It's about us, we're a unit' blah blah blah, so why come up with an idea that splits opinion and causes discontent? Abridged version, **** right off.
