Seeing a settled back 5 now
Puerta Zambrano and Simons as the three with Slater playing if we’re playing a team that really passes out from the back

Attacking wise not seeing where Omur and Palmer fit the system as 2 of Miller Kamara and Belloumi take those slots

Still think we’re missing a striker

First half - decent going forward. We still gifted the opposition the usual few chances from us easily losing the ball by trying to play out/hitting it long because of the overplaying.

Second half - diabolical. I was ready to complain at 1-0 up. The messing around at the back has to stop. I say it every game but all it does is play us into trouble 9 times out of 10. We are making other teams look better than they are.

The game once again showed how we have some great individuals and a top half Championship squad, but we are held back by the system.

Only 2 shots on target at home against a team who looked nothing special and were there for the taking.

I wasn’t a fan of Roseyball and I’m not a fan of Walterball. But they still might learn from it and turn it around.

3 big games coming up (all the promoted sides). Need 5 points minimum for me to stay hopeful.

Derby's home record is excellent, so I don't see anything there, Oxford's isn't far behind either. Need to beat Pompey as an absolute minimum, otherwise I do think he'll be on borrowed time.

Midfield lost it second half need Zambrano and Puerta in, Kamara showing his age but ok with the ball , second half anonymous and seems like Slater to be unaware where to be or to anticipate . We need another proven finisher but the service from our wingers is not good .

    It was…fine?

I’m definitely seeing slow signs of progress, particularly defensively.

But as we brought a new manager in to play more attacking football I have to say I’m a little disappointed in the lack of chances we are creating in each match.

We’ve matched two of the divisions top sides - but it’s been a far cry from some of last seasons games against the top teams of the division (Ipswich, Leicester, Southampton away). I appreciate that team probably was a bit more settled but I still don’t see many signs of this side taking the game to the opposition.

I hope that comes but we’re getting to a quarter of the season in now and we still seem to be struggling with that.

On the whole, we seem to be moving forward but I want more to get me off my seat. Next few games are an opportunity to show off a bit for me. Let’s go for it.

Kamara put a great ball in early on but didn't make the right decision often enough.

I don’t know if we have improved in this game, or that Burnley were just really poor. Probably a bit of both. Yet again we passed off some great shooting opportunities, making it more complicated than necessary, then failing to get a shot off at all.

Decent game, we were obviously better in the first half and Tim’s probably the only person in the stadium that didn’t want Zambrano to be Puerta’s replacement, but a decent point all the same.

Definitely moving in the right direction.

last season we had Delap, Philogene and Carvalho - circa £60 million of premier league class - this season, we don't - we're still missing a target man up front - so far Pedro and Bedia have been disappointing - hopefully that changes and they start to deliver - excluding the Norwich performance, defensively we are better than last season - whilst we still mess about at the back more than I personally would wish, it pales into insignificance compared to last seasons ****ing about

Dont think you need Simons and Zambrano in the same team. I’d have Zambrano, puerta with the last spot going to Palmer or Slater.

Songs by fans are great. Music after goals played over the tannoys aren’t. FACT.

Its ironic isnt it. These new type of modern managers are meant to play with fluid, all action and versitile football. I'd argue Walter and to some extent Rosie are the most rigid managers we have had for a while. In the terms of subs, the likes of Steve Bruce used to get them right 9 times of out 10. Rosie wasn't too bad, Walters half the time are completely random and he usually replaces similar plays within his system. Today like you say Zambrano should have come on to replace Puerta and drop too two DMC sitters with Slater infront. Then all been well replace Slater with Palmer or Omur later in the game. The Giles one nearly lost us the game as well. He looks horrendous at the minute.

I really don’t get this. You’re saying this like Acun said you should be entertained, he wants to be. You should’ve been buzzing with that performance as it was a carbon copy of vast amounts of last seasons. On top, dominant in control, gone ahead. Sat on it and paid the price…that being said it was against 2nd in the league not relegated Birmingham

Good to see we implemented this first corner.

I mean their best chance first half came from our corner when we accidentally kept it in play, but I suppose we can’t always execute perfectly
