That'll teach me not to ask....why again. PS.....I'm falling for the why question again.....why are you having the Door Doctor to fix your windows....isn't the Window Doctor able to do it for you ?
The two brothers fell out may moons ago. The Door Doctor fell out of a door but the Window Doctor, in Putin-esque style, fell out of a window, and is no more. Either that, or I let She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed choose the contractors so as to avoid any blow-back later. Obviously, she never makes a mistake and I just pay the bills. You choose which you think is most likely but don't tell her what I said. I was exactly right about what I'd done wrong and a revised schedule is now shown up above.
Are you staying out of the way whilst her indoors supervises the Door Doctor doing the Window Doctors work on your windows......which probably means that your in charge of the tea a biscuits every hour or so......and the necessary washing up of the plate and mugs.
I'm staying out of it as far as possible to avoid any inadvertent acceptance of responsibility. She's in full site-foreman role though, as indeed she is with the guys doing next door's garden. And those refurbishing the house 4 doors down, who are in deep do-do for ripping out period features. My old boss Terry frequently used the phrase "no bayonetting the f***ing wounded" in meetings that got out of hand. I think it comes from this quote: "An historian is a man who watches the battle from the safety of the hills and then comes down to bayonet the wounded". (Charles Lyell, 1797 – 1875). Terry meant "concentrate on finding a solution rather than trying to apportion the blame to people who may have been involved previously". This is not a principle that applies in this house and so responsibility is a dangerous thing.
Maybe her indoors should volunteer to do the away talk for Argyle.....that should put the fear into them of not losing.

Thanks Joe but to be fair to everyone else. I can't allow a joker on 5 out of 12 games. Not that it matters as you got the right score the wrong way around, Sensible topped the match forecasts, partly due to a joker on the Cardiff v Portsmouth match, which is fair enough, I'm picking what I think are the difficult games. but also by getting 6 out of 12 results right, equalled by some but beaten by no-one. I got the goal time right even though it was for the wrong team. Bu**er. No change in the table but Sensible widens his lead a little.

I'm going to break with tradition and go with the Joker table first. No comment is necessary is it? In all the discussion about the stark contrast between Argyle's home and away form, nearly 2/3 of our predictions are for home wins. If it wasn't for Leeds playing away at Bristol City, we'd have almost no away win predictions. Perhaps it's down to how we each do our forecasts, but of the 10 away win predictions which would remain exclusive of that one game, 4 of them would be mine. I have no idea what that signifies but it's almost interesting. There are three games which perhaps distort it this time. Home wins for Burnley, Sheffield United and Sunderland do look as nailed-on as matches can be and prediction of Argyle games are never entirely rational, although I personally do expect a bounce back in what will be another raucous Home Park atmosphere. There's an majority expectation of an early goal at Home Park. Let's hope it's at the right end.
The average away wins for this division is between 3 and 4 games per week.....this I found out from a chart online....I cannot remember where I saw it now. I only came up with one away win this week myself and a deliberately changed it to three to balance out....maybe PNE might end up being one of them ? We have the worse away points........1pt. The worse goal difference....1-13. Joint lowest goals scored away...one. Portsmouth is overall the only team who have conceded more goals in this league than us...23 to our 19.....two others are on this total of 19 as well.....one of them is Watford (9th) who are well up the league. The only way is up from all this woe.
That’s sacrilegious Plym. You have to be at Home Park to understand the love-fest between the players and the fans. Little kids hanging over the fence trying to get a selfie with them during the warmup and often succeeding. An absolute barrage of sound during the game. Morgan Whittaker of all people throwing himself into the crowd when he scored the winner against Blackburn. I’ve been going for more years than I care to say but I can honestly say I don’t think there’s ever been such passion around the place, on the pitch and off. I don’t want to tempt fate but I didn’t think once let alone twice before making my prediction on this one.
