Ngl just test the ****ing keeper... Anything can happen if a keeper is tested. We had moments were instead of someone shooting they'd pass. Bedia does this a lot! I've never seen a striker so reluctant to shoot. Even Eaves would atleast shoot ffs
Picked up my daughter and new son in law at the airport last night, on their way back from honeymoon. On the two hour and a bit journey home we both had a really interesting chat about city. Bare this in mind Leo is a Man U supporter but comes with me and his dad to city matches on the odd occasion. He had some really interesting things to say, mostly about the new players and Walt’s playing style which he described as ****ing mental lol. Zam, puerta and bal ( too tired to get their full names ) were 3 he pointed out as some players. I’m in agreement with him that they will fetch city a load of money in the not too distant future. I pointed out Hughes and his reply was oh yes been meaning to ask me about him, said he looks a prem player in the making. Together we couldn’t understand how city, with these players aren’t right up there in the top half. It got me thinking, with one of the other managers in this division would we be further up ??? Mine and Leo’s only conclusion was, yes we would, I think in time this team will click and play some amazing football, but it might be too late this season and then it will be down to the “ What ifs “ Come may I think we’ll lose 3/4 of the top players but have a wad of cash and end up starting all over again… Some positives, some negatives but just an honest opinion…..one thing… it won’t be a boring season lol…
Don't know how many of these are new injuries or whether they've managed to get to 2nd whilst carrying this number of injuries? At least they won't be at full strength. Edit: quick look at BBC sport. Looks like they've been managing fine without them. Gulp. Still, if we click, I think we're capable of getting something. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/spo...nley-guaranteed-without-eight-players-9651962
For me I would go with Pandur Coyle Jones Hughes Drameh Puerta Zambrano Palmer Belloumi Bedia Millar
Watching Bedia on Saturday, he’s a big strong lad who can hold the ball up, I just want to see him a bit more alert over that first yard, it makes a massive difference.
I think the first yard is where he flourishes. He set us off a few times on Sunday. Its his last yard that let's him down more, or the final decision he makes which has been his let down on occasion. I do think he's becoming a good striker for us though.
I think Walter needs to mix our approach up game by game. We have become predictable and Sheff Utd and Sunderland said after the match that they had been looking to exploit our game plan - which has become predictable. 2 out of 3 wins have come against new managers with little time to work on a plan against us. Sunderland was the first time Walter changed the approach and by and large they struggled to break us down. I still believe we can set up in a much more structured way but still play quick, incisive football when in possession. Rosenior’s style was always about possession first, which showed in the negative mindset of players who always looked back first for the safe pass. I much more enjoy the positive front footedness of Walters team, but still think we can do that with a better structure and more utilisation of our midfield.
Could anyone throw any light on why I am not enjoying watching us this season. I do have some personal stuff going on but I don't think that is the cause. Am I pining for the slow possession based fare served up last season or am I grieving for Carvalho?
I know what you mean In a way i think its becasue its all new players almost Hard to have the same likeing for them yet for me Apart from coyle and jones, its basically all new players No attachment to them
Not sure but I think the last side I really related to was the 21/22 lot. Too many new players and/or loanees I've struggled to, not "like" as that sounds harsh, but gain an affinity with, well since Acun arrived really! Couldn't stand the Allams obviously but really liked the teams we had under them.
I suppose everyone looks at it differently, I just felt he got caught out a few times on Sunday when not being alert enough, agree on decision making though although on Sunday a few was guilty of that especially on some of the breaks we made.
Probably sat there on tenterhooks, waiting for us to **** up, wondering how in hell we are going to score (without Carvalho & Delap)
I think because unusually this season as been such a massive turnover of players, It’s taken me weeks to figure out who is who. When you have seen so many leave it’s like watching another team, I’m gradually getting to grips with it and hopefully we won’t go through this again. I’ve set my stall out to think it’s a season of transition which will gradually improve and hopefully we will keep the squad together and add in two or three key areas instead of another rebuild. I can understand what you are saying though and I definitely think it’s to do with all the change.
Their manager also said they didn’t expect the way we played, was different from what they expected we’d play. .
No mehlem tomorrow, calf or arse strain can’t remember which, will we see zam and puerta in the middle
