Can't see us getting anything out of this whatever 11 Wally picks. Can see them doing a professional job on us while we huff and puff to little effect. 0-2
I think we are capable of beating burnley Wont be a pretty game one would think though Burnley under parker are like a pestal and mortar Just grind teams down
Puerta seemed like a more technical Docherty and looks deserving of his place in the team moving forward (if fit enough) - wonder if he's fit enough to go again on Wednesday. Something Puerta showed that is really beneficial to Walterball was, not just the speed he released the ball after making a tackle or receiving a pass, but more often that not it was a positive pass that broke the press. Zambrano is good at this too. Mehlem gets criticised a bit unfairly as he's okay at that too but his trick seems limited to try to turn his man. We broke a lot more against Sunderland, I haven't watched it back but I sure Puerta played a part in a good few of them. Would be intrigued to see some new combos on the left now Hughes is in the team. Would be nice to try Giles again at home but not sure he works with Millar as they seem to get in each others way. Jacob did well in Turkey and makes those inverted runs well but Burnley are going to be a tough test. Drameh is doing okay but might be getting found out a bit at LB. If Alzate is fit I would maybe throw him in too. Omur in for Palmer if fit swell. I would go Pandur Coyle - Jones - Hughes - ??? Zambrano Palmer - Puerta Belloumi - Bedia - Millar
I would love to see a midfield three of Zambrano Puerta and Omur but actually utilising the midfield, it seems a waste at the moment having such quality bypassed and not finding a way in to the games much. If Alzate continues to look as good as he has in the little we've seen him then we could potentially have one of the most talented midfields in our history.
Shameless. A Manchester based comedy drama based around lowlife scum ****s is actually a portrayal of Burnley, the small time, backward, dingle suburb of Blackburn. City 3-0 Chatsworth Inbreds
Altidore is one of those who history hasn't been kind to. He was decent for us that season and I think most people recognised it at the time. He wasn't a goalscorer obviously, but he was a handful. Won a lot of penalties and free kicks. Still think Eaves is a better comparison for Bedia.
I think he'll grab a few goals, but he doesn't look like a 20 goal a season striker, not unless we change up our style. He might benefit from having somebody like Burstow playing alongside him, but then we seem to stick with the one up top formation so we probably won't see it.
