Downey would've been right before they changed the rules ...

... at one time pitch invaders could score.

I once saw it at Shrewsbury v Mansfield but the linesman flagged him offside <laugh>

Did it stop a clear goal scoring opetunity is the question. Was outside the box but did take the ball from the striker. Could easily been a red if seen.

The goal was clearly a goal end of.... the Mepham (good signing) handball however ... was a red...

Good luck as you move on through the season...

Would rather have a controversial decision go for us rather than against us. Then again I've watched the goal a few times and can't see a problem with it

Sorry, wasn’t ignoring your responses, I just didn’t want to risk tempting fate (I know you don’t believe in any of that but I’m a superstitious sod).

I do think he’s a decent keeper though and no one would have stood a chance behind some of the kamikaze tactics and defending Hull have deployed this season (not so much today).

I thought it was a red but Curtis Davies on the post-match said it wasn't, by the letter of the law. It apparently couldn't be a red as your striker didn't have the ball under his control. Every day is a school day, and all that.

Cheers for the good luck and same to yourselves.

Not according to the rules or your ex-player Curtis Davies tbf.

While you're here, why did the Hull supporters boo Connolly and what do you make of your manager's comments that Madley should study how Hull take their dead balls?

Good luck against Burnley and the season ahead.

We’ve got an interesting challenge in terms of how we sub Rigg. Browne isn’t a good swap imo as Jobe is now established as critical to the engine room. Need to see if Aleksic can get going. I’m still not completely ruling out Aouchiche either. RLB seems like he’ll be able to get players going.
