    Ref was dogshit.
We never looked like scoring though (other than Bedia hitting the crossbar) so weren’t likely to win if we played for 900 minutes.
If we could learn to defend our corners though that would help…

1-0 to the ref! How he is a Prem ref I don't know. Some encouraging signs today, I liked Puerta and Hughes, they are like two new signings. Not sure about the booing of Connolly, a bit unnecessary

I wonder if Baz will write a sob story article about City fans abusing the ref for being an incompetent **** just a few weeks after Mental Health Day.

Tough one to take that. Thought we played well in general. Think there should be credit to the coaching team for some of those improvements.

Ref was favouring them before the two big moments. The **** him.

Defensively better but at what cost. Zzzz

City couldn’t score in a brothel at the moment.

Sacking the bloke is the easy part.

    Clocks ticking Timmy..

    Allam’s GONE.

If we go attacking we look like conceding every time they come forward. If we go more conservative we don't look like scoring and always have a **** up in us. Nothing's working unless we're playing against utter ****. Time to go

Especially when you've gone the entire match without a shot on target!

Its a low bar to be impressed by us cause professional footballers can pass the ball

What was good about our team performance?

I’m amazed how reactionary we are as fans. Apart from their goal, which was well taken but would have never happened if the ref had any positional awareness of players around him, we matched the current top team and did not look defensively frail. In fact we caused them a lot of problems in the second half and with more composure would have had more shots on target and possibly goals. On another day the Bedia shot would have gone in and everyone would be happy that we’re matching the top teams. We did not lay down and let them walk over us, it was a clearly better performance than earlier in the season. I’m upset that we lost, but we were unlucky to do so. I think there are some on here who like a good hyperbole. We are making progress- time to back the team and the manager.

Did you just sit there and think 'what this match thread needs is for me to be a dick'? Because if you did, result!

Connolly was miles better when he played pissed.
No need to boo him though, and I agree, I liked the look of Hughes and Puerta

We’re now 10 games in, almost a quarter of the season is gone, and we’re averaging 1.2 points a game. It doesn’t matter if we give top teams a run for their money, if we keep this form up we’ll be in the bottom half of the table staring down when spring comes around.
