We've left ourselves very open at the back which is dangerous given that their pace on the wings is ridiculous. Mepham been almost faultless so far but that was definitely a handball at the very end there and it could have been a red card. I don't think we've looked especially dangerous so far. Our full backs need to be overlapping more to open the space for the wingers and our midfield need to be more aggressive further up the pitch and stop those counter attacks before they start.
Late to the party here but this is a good link if anyone needs one http://www.fawanews.com/Hull City vs Sunderland.html
Decent half I thought. They're letting us have the ball so it's on us to break them down and be on guard for their counter attacks, this isn't brain surgery. We can still absolutely win this and remember that a point away in this league is never a bad result.
Credit to Hull here, they get back into a defensive shape very quickly. They defend the wide areas well. Roberts making some poor decisions though at times. Dont mean to be harsh but Isidor struggling to make an impact. He isnt holding it up or getting into good positions. Connolly may get a chance here. Lucky boy Mepham at the end. Otherwise he has been outstanding. As has Hughes for them to be fair.
We've been OK but poor in the final 3rd for me Roberts been too slow n predictable, Rigg isn't looking sharp n his movement been poor. Isidor needs to move the defenders about more n we need jobe or Neil getting themselves into the box to cause hull confusion Hulls shape defensively is by far the best I've seen them this season and they look dangerous on the counter The game is there for us tho, Connolly to come on n even Watson could cause them problems
Think Neil is doing well as the metronome midfielder. Keeping it moving short and mixing in some switches. Much better in a team with more possession.
Might not be popular but I would bring Browne on for Rigg for the second half. If nothing else changes, Connelly on for Wilson
He’s become a really good Championship fullback. I don’t remember being linked with him but we’ve played against him a lot over the last few years (in League 1 initially).
Has had a good game. Some of his switch passes are superb. Ahead of him very little movement through the middle. Rigg and Jobe quiet by their standards. Doubt both will be that quiet second half tbh.
Cracking goal by Isador that, classic counter attack, not a great performance but 0-1 and a clean sheet take a point at Luton now.
Give Watson the space roberts has had and he’ll drive at them He’s due a longer run out think today suits him
