Ref was crap but Martin brought it all on himself with his ridiculous subs and tactics 2nd half. The red card cannot be an excuse to keep him in the job any longer.

A tale of two VARs and, somewhat more significantly, two sets of substitutions. I too would like to have seen LTL's Mum get a run out.

Taylor needs a timeout. He WATCHED TP’s shirt being tugged from the first second and did NOTHING.
If that happens anywhere else on the pitch it’s a free kick and an automatic yellow card.
That would have given us the opportunity for 3-1.
If that isn’t corrupt refereeing then what is?

I thought the subs were wrong at the time of a second corner when we're pushing hard for a third goal. I don't know where the big turnaround is coming from.

 

Football is a results orientated sport and after that devastating defeat surely Saints now need a reset?
They're unable to learn from previous mistakes and this must be a coaching failure? RM is I'm afraid simply not tactically good enough, he was completely out manoeuvred by Steve Cooper and wasn't clever enough to adjust the side to negate the danger of their right winger. RM subs actually made the side weaker and more incohesive, Ryan Fraser lasted 10 mins, got skinned for their first goal and was at fault for their second. Mastermind. A defeat like this is crushing and if SR have any intention of trying to stay in this league RM's position must now be untenable?

 

Had to be Leicester didn’t it? Can't they just f*ck off?

 

Lots of better things today but the subs ultimately cost us. It's much harder to back the manager after a capitulation like that. Lallana and Taylor were bought for their experience, they should've been on the pitch to bring calm heads.

 

That was the most one sided refereeing performances I have ever seen, utterly appalling and VAR….what is the point?
Can’t see what else Russ can do, no point sacking him. The players are fighting and working their backsides off
