Bit of both I think. While we definitely were pushed back it definiteiy looked like there was a conscious choice as part of that too.
It infuriates me every week that he doesn’t put a CB on the bench - one injury or a stupid red card leaves us completely exposed and throws any game plan we have out the window. To name as many CBs in a squad of 20x as we do keepers is criminal - you can only play 5 of the 9 subs, therefore not all of the midfielders and strikers can be used, so why not pick a CB to give you coverage and the ability to adapt to every possible scenario? He has got away with so far this season, and will continue to do so for 95% of games - but when it comes back to bite us, which is undoubtedly will, it’s indefensible. Especially in a must win 6 pointer at home.
The people making the decisions are the people who thought Nathan Jones was the man to steady the ship.
