    Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has claimed owner Roman Abramovich has promised not to sack him if he fails to win anything this season.

    Abramovich has fired every manager to have ended a campaign empty-handed since buying the club more than eight years ago.

    But Villas-Boas insists the Blues' billionaire owner has assured him his job is safe, even if he does not deliver silverware come May.

    Speculation has been rife that Villas-Boas will not last that long unless he arrests Chelsea's poor start to the season.

    Don't know why but I've had a better feeling going into this game than I had going into the everton game. Getting more nervous as the game gets closer like but if we get at them and play like we have been then we absolutly have a chance of beating them.

    I think the atmosphere before and during the game will give the players a lift.

    RA will have no problem sacking AVB if he feels so inclined. It's crazy when you consider the Chelsea owner forked out something in the region of £13m to land this manager! <yikes>...

    The money being offered to anyone taking the job at Chelsea is so massive, that literally nobody would turn it down if offered.

    Guus Hiddink anyone? <whistle>...
