I was as stunned as anyone by the chalk-and-cheese performance last time out (believe me, as a former teacher, you can’t write easily on the blackboard with a chunk of cheddar!). Made me wonder if all these years I’d been wasting my time and emotions. I concluded I hadn’t, because I’d had so much pleasure from watching them (on occasions). And anyway, if they never lost or even conceded a goal, I’d feel watching them had become a waste of time then! So I’ve sought the musical help of Charles Dickens, Lionel Bart and Ron Moody to get it all of my chest this week. COYS! We got off to a start, didn’t we? Tore them apart, didn’t we?
