I haven't followed his career religiously but I've got several CD's by him and the obvious bands he's been in.He's a fantastic wordsmith and I've never really thought about his voice in depth but it doesn't bother me in particular. He probably can't stand his voice on recordings either,a lot of artists don't.I got quite a bit of studio time for free when I did a recording/audio techniques course some years ago at College(singing/rhythm guitar cover versions with a drummer and bass player who were tutors)...Everybody who heard the stuff loved it. I hated it
