I did. Why do you keep changing subject? Brexit, £22m black hole, immigration, you just keep evading any substantive point made and move on to the next Daily Mail headline.

It was you who evaded, you replied but failed to mention the point raised on the black hole, A point which Starmer has done consistently even the treasury won't back him and cannot find 22 billion ,You consistently fail to answer about the black hole We both know MSM lies, and the truth is somewhere in between, However in his 100 days Starmer and his 40 thieves, have proven to be as big weasels as the Tories, I'm surprised you don't or can't see it, They are all as bad as each other, all i want is some fekker to care for Britain without lining their own pockets

I've evaded myself, takes some doing that mind. I'll leave you with your thoughts although if you go back over what I've said I don't think we're too far apart.

You must hate living amongst the racist/silver surfers of the north East, the majority of which voted to leave the unelected European Union.

It’s a video from a conservative activist pretending to do a journalism. Might as well quote a Reddit thread.

Good post and I agree with everything except your first sentence. I thought Cameron was under pressure from the looney right to offer them a referendum, just to shut them up. He incorrectly believed it would fail... then ran away. Fool. As you say, he would probably have done a better job of negotiating.

Agree with this...except to add the words..treasonous,incompetent and cowardly..., before your 4th sentence.
And,as if this dereliction of duty wasn't enough, this is followed by the Conservative party finally betraying the British people,by electing a succession of very weak, totally unsuitable leaders for the tasks at hand, and why I,after voting Conservative all my life, will never vote for them again.

He definitely was mate. And he gambled his election win on the promise. There was so many more groups wanted out of the EU than the right wing tories though. UKIP was a major problem at the time, and they werent a conservative party as I understood them. Businesses, famers, fishermen, all seemed to be queueing up for the exit doors. Whatever his motivations, it was a depressingly selfish decision to quit as PM at the hour of need.

You're right, historically there been plenty of arguments from all sides for leaving the European Union every step of the way.

I remember Tony Benn's speech after the Maastricht Treaty warning EU representatives would be much harder to get rid of than UK politicians.

    But...

To me, Brexit was an opportunity for a group of people to use historic distrust of the EU to destabilise Europe (Russia the obvious one), provide a way for billionaires to hide their identity via shell companies (despite recent legislation, two thirds of them are still anonymous), and unscrupulous Tories to further their career (Alreet Boris).

Tens of millions of people voted for Brexit, and I won't blame anyone who did, but I'd argue it was one of the most dishonest campaigns in UK history.

UKIP not only insisted that we'd all be richer, but that the NHS would be £350m a week better off. Also that we'd get control of our borders so we could turn away immigrants.

    None of that has happened.

Aye, and many jobs would be at risk. Mine is, big time. There are many downsides of being outside the EU in my opinion and they are having an impact directly on me. Not that it is all about me of course, but just for balance I am quite a bit worse off.

I’m not sure that’s the reason you are worse off, I would think it’s down to the tossers who negotiated the leaving deal.

Probably. Just cant imagine anyone negotiating a good deal. Hey ho, been and gone. If it wasnt Brexit it would be some other nonsense to give us a reason to whine or celebrate. Think I will go and listen to some Hendrix, always gets me up again.
