The thing is, I like Tuchel, he came across well in his time at Chelsea, he also has a good attitude. But if he fails, the media will be all over him, that’ll get the noisy fans all over him & he'll be driven out before he’s even had a chance. Hopefully I can get excited when the WC comes round, & hopefully he’s thick skinned enough to last out all the **** he’s going to ultimately get!
Pick the right players at your disposal Thomas and play them in the right positions. The rest should take care of itself.
Same as every England manager , I'm sure plenty of managers would love the football side of the job but not everything else that comes with it
Background check been done? Closet gay? Married or single? Any affairs? Any financial wrong doings? cos the English press will be on the scent already
As long as Tuchel tells Kane to get his arse up front and stop getting in the way of the midfield he’ll do for me.
Agree with the contract length. Any extension to it would only be to our benefit. Biggest threat has always been is our press. See how it goes.. Allam’s GONE
There's a lot of talk about how few good English candidates there are and what an indictment that is on our system. But I think the biggest problem there is the lack of a pathway. English managers have such a hard time getting top jobs in the domestic game, and they seem to fall down the ladder the second they have a tough spell, whereas foreign managers who've proven themselves abroad seem to be able to stay on the merry-go-round of top jobs, like Tuchel has. I think as a nation we don't recognise a good manager when we see one. It's often said that there are loads of young English managers now trying to play the Pep way etc. Well that's what we need surely if we want to produce top coaches. But I don't see how they can get to the top when the best jobs they get are bottom-end PL, and then they get pilloried for not reverting to defensive football in order to grind out PL survival in those jobs. For one example, Lampard did a similar job to his predecessors and successors at Chelsea yet he's seen as a bit of a joke figure. He's still a young manager but he's sort of already been thrown on the scrapheap.
Well, it’s started already. So now the Daily Mail don’t watch him, I’m going to have to change my mind.
I agree with you, but the problem today is your ****ing thumb could be Yemenese (yes I know, it’s for effect) and you could play for Yemen. I used to hate the 3 foreigner rule when I was younger, now I wish they’d bring it back, because it stifles so much home grown talent imo
